    Toilet training with daz studio

With all this stay at home stuff going on and so much time on my hands, I found myself exploring my content of 3d buildings in more detail.
While looking at some 3d apartment stuff, i saw a bathroom in what i thought were 2 toilets side by side.

WTF? How strange is that? Looking closer, it looked more like a cross between a wash basin sink and a toilet bowl.
But I thought it was pretty low to be a wash basin, besides there was already a normal bathroom sink in there.
Maybe its for the guys too piss in? I was curious to find out what this thing was there for.

The scene tab listed the odd looking toilet thing as a "bidet".
    What is a bidet?

Daz3d has introduced me to something that was totally alien to me.

Searching the internet I discover what they are, but I cant get my head around the way they work.
No offense to those people that are highly skilled in the art of cleaning this way but to me,
Its seems like a lot of hard work to get clean. What if you had some bad curry the night before?
Standing up with trousers around the ankles to shuffle across to clean up could be a bit risky?
Oh, and it seems they don't even have a seat, so you have to squat over the bowl? OMG
I cant help but laugh at the thought of a jet of water shooting up there.

I live in Australia and after 50 years I have never seen anything like this until now, thanks to Daz3d.

Crocodile Dundee thought it was to wash his boots. That was funny as hell.

A bidet is a bowl or container designed to be seated for the purpose of washing the human genitalia, perineum, inner buttocks and anus.

I find it kinda weird to experience someone not knowing what a bidet is... 😀

To be honest, most european homes (including ours) have one bidet, but vast majority only puts it there because of tradition, just like brits use 2 taps instead of a single one. Most of the time, bidet is used to wash legs for kids when they sre younger, or to wash hands. We have never used ours the way it was designed for, and I do believe that's pretty much the same with everyone else

OMG you never knew what a bidet was?

How do you think many of us Europeans survive when the rest of the idiots out there hoard toilet paper? When every shelf in the country doesn't have a single roll of toilet paper, or paper towel or wet wipe available - I am glad we have a a bidet culture along side of a toilet. When everyone in this pandemic was hoarding, I simply didn't worry. I raised my kids to use a bidet. In many cultures, especially very ancient towns with terrible plumbing and drain/sewage systems it is actually FORBIDDEN to throw toilet paper into the drain. Many have a hose hanging on the wall, where you wash your behind as there is no toilet paper in the bathroom whatsoever.

I live in a building built back in the 1800s, and the toilet pipes are ancient and get easily blocked if you have those guests you use an entire half a roll of toilet paper to wipe their behinds with. Then you have to call the plumber to have the drains pumped due to blockage - very nasty business. Here at my home, I have toilet paper only for guests, pretty much. My 3 sons and my BF and I all use the 2 bidets we have in the bathrooms here. Actually my master bathroom Bidet is actually ultra modern and built onto the toilet seat. It has heating, adjustable water temperatures, spray adjustments and strengths, and even a blowdrying function. I think a lot of these are very popular in Japan.

In my sons' bathroom we have an arrangement like this, where they have the water mixer on the wall, with a hand held shower head next to the toilet:
Hand Held Showerhead Bidet with Mixer on Wall

Mine in my master bathroom I had integrated into the toilet as the room was smaller and is handicapped setup, with a toilet that actually hydraulically lifts you to stand up. The controls, however, look a lot like this:
    Built in Bidet with controls.

I'm honestly surprised that you, living in Australia so near to Asia, where bidets are common and desired, have never seen one before.

A warning then, don't travel in the middle east, or northern Africa, or ancient cities like Pisa, Venice, Naples etc as many hotels even have STAND Toilets with the hose next to them... That will shock you. 😉

It's nice to discover and learn new things though, isn't it?

Well I have never been out of Australia so toilet paper is all I have known.

Just cant get my head around these bidets that after shooting all that water up there, if there's no toilet paper to use for a visual then how do you know when your clean?

I am confused enough with how the bidets work, but now I learn about these sea shells?

WOW, Those clam shells just look nasty. Whats wrong with a few sheets of paper?

😀 the sea shells is from this movie:

The screeching on the carpet does happen for real, but it tends to cut a visit short 😀

Well Cage, I'm not educated on other cultures so I really thought those seashells were a custom used by some country.
The way you said "dont forget these" and you posted a pic showing the shells and the instructions, it looked real enough for me not to question you.
I then googled and found a funny youtube clip with Stallone saying how they were out of toilet paper.
Then I saw interview with the film maker who spoke about how the seashells were added to the scene, that's when i knew it was not a real thing. lol

I'm from Germany. Here it is not usual to have or use a bidet. I know what it is but never have seen one in any flat I ever was. I was in several countries in Europe too. All in all I have seen exactly ONE bidet in a Hotel in Italy. May be I should try 5 stars instead of 3 or 4? But for me a hotel room/bed ist a place to sleep, nothing else. So I decided for me a more expensive one doesn't make sense.

I am from Europe :p And... I saw ONE n a "normal house", in all days of my lifetime (I am over 20, under 30^^)
and no one ever used it there, I am sure...
And tbh, I would not really wanna use it, it looks weird^^.
