The re-sized images are perfect now, IMO. The points/filled tag at the bottom is the perfect solution as well.

While it could contribute to an ongoing deterrent attempt, and I agree with you, the main way to prevent undesired shares in the wild is still the honor system here, of course. Users sticking to the agreements with request-fillers (spoken or otherwise) of not posting or sharing elsewhere (or just maintaining the practice as a lifestyle) is still what will generate points, and maintain the motivation to continue. If everyone plays their part, "honorably among thieves", it's sustainable as always.
But yes, hopefully with the new system the deterrence will be increased in some ways.
