I remember seen such script for DAZ couple of years ago but if I remember correctly it was somewhat buggy. The script allowed to intersect two DAZ items and this way to cut off parts of it (like the boolean function for Blender).
Any hint if such working DAZ scripts will be greatly appreciated.
You can sort of do that with the Geometry Editor but not for complex objects. Select the polygons you wish to remove, then right-click>Geometry Editing>Remove Selected (from memory)
Gescon is likely what you're thinking of, I've had...mixed results with it. It works best on simpler geometry, and absolutely horribly on complex models. I was using it to try and fragment/damage some armor/spaceships and it just could not do it in a satisfactory manner.
Thanks, I also tried it and it didn't worked like it was supposed to work.
So far I decided to use the boolean feature of Blender for the props.
Too bad the DAZ Geometry Editor lacks such simple feature to create a plane when possible after part of something is cut off (but hey - it's DAZ, so no surprise)
