This incredibly generous upload has been undermined by Mega's shitty paywall, due to transfer limits, I bring this up, so others won't end up wasting their points!
Thanks to the uploader though, it's a very generous upload and is still appreciated!
April 3, 2023 at 6:46 PM #1951071Yes, thanks and all, but I am not upset…
I used the word “shitty” as an accurate descriptor, nothing more… But I do admit to having a bad habit of the over-use of exclamation points, I also over-use them when making new folders as well…
Oh yeah, and I also love ellipses! 😀
April 3, 2023 at 7:16 PM #1951081100% agreed, as far as free services, they are the best, you'll get no argument here!
I was hesitant about getting the mega downloader as I did not trust it, as the majority of downloader progs are pure filth, but seeing as you've given me positive feedback, I'll definitely give it a go!
Thanks again!
EDIT: Damn, there I go with the exclamation points again! 😛 😀
April 3, 2023 at 9:37 PM #1951101Hey there! I initially had the same trouble for a very big single-file Mega download (somewhere in the realm of 11GB for one ZIP) and the limit is usually 5-6GB for every six hours; I know it can vary somewhat but it keeps around that limit.
The Mega Desktop App is a lot more reliable for me as a 'leave it alone until it starts again' option than leaving a browser tab open, as it doesn't depend on the browser staying open if you need to reboot it. It's safe as add-ons go as far as I've been able to tell and it's a lot more robust in managing your personal Mega cloud folder and downloads.
I agree with you about it being a massive pain in the butt to have to wait six hours longer to finish half a file that could be downloaded in far less time than that.

Make sure that you are using a vpn for Mega DLs - it makes large files simple.Once Mega tells you that you have gone over quota [and tries to entice you into a paid version] Change your vpn country.
Don't close Mega - just close the invite to pay them.
Once you have a new location click the Reload this Page arrow.
Click any confirmations and Mega will restart.
You will then get a message about unfinished DLs - click to continue existing DL.If really large file you may need to do it more than once.
[the limit is meant to be 2GB - but I have had up to 4GB complete in one DL]🙂
April 4, 2023 at 8:44 AM #1951335@3dartist2k22, Okay. Install the "Megasync" from Mega. You download with the URL provided. Mega has a download limit of 4.5 Gb(+/-), per day. the next day, you can "resume" the download. You can also use a PVN (Type "Proton", free...), to "download" what is missing. Also with Jdownloader...
Can you tell me the url of that Maya? Autodesk often generates oversized installers...
Or reset our router (Off, or no electricity some minutes..Your ISP assign a new IP, perhaps...)April 4, 2023 at 10:34 AM #1951424There is an alternative that can save large files to your mega space - and then start the download before you to bed and then when turn on your computer in the morning, the download will resume. I've done that for many things when downloading from mega.
April 4, 2023 at 5:48 PM #1951671Thanks all for the advice, I completely neglected to consider a VPN as most of these sites are wise to it, but fuck it, time to fire up the 'ole nord VPN again!
April 5, 2023 at 8:46 AM #1951992I have used Nord with Mega for several years - no problems.
Just change location and reload as i mentioned above.
Never lost a big file yet... 🙂 -
