So it's not SO bad, I've only spent a week or two building up my library. Some of you guys have been at this a LOT longer.

Was at like 90% on that HUGE RAR file from tpb, too.

    It's all gone, Pete Tong

If you don't have a backup scheme already, do one! My plan going forward is to continue keeping stuff on an external drive, but buy 2 and run nightly syncs so if one goes down I"m not SOL!

I had the same sorry experience. I now keep a backup of my library on an external HD.

I lost so many things, but thanks to the Zone I was able to recoup a lot of it.

I know the feeling, I messed up my library a month ago and discovered that my backup is such a mess that I can't find the stuff I need to reinstall. So now I'm currently in the process of going through my backup folder and fixing all messed up archives and converting everything I can to dims. I've only got 276 GB to go out of 284 GB. Once I'm done that, I'm going to have to reinstall my entire library. This was all because I decided I needed to delete one item that I didn't want... I figure I should be done in time for the final season of GoT.

I wiped all my daz/poser stuff and reinstalled to limit what I had. I almost never used V4 anymore and other than some clothes. Going with one format gave me more room and its easier to find stuff. I absolutely hate posers runtime setup. Im sure Ive got a ton of stuff I left on the external since I got tired going through it to re-install. that just leaves room for more new stuff.

Yeah, I recently got 2 x 3 TB spinning disks for my content duplication, original install file storage (which i wrote some PS scripts to help sort it by category). All of my actual content i loaded on 750 Samsung SSD ... which i must say is a huge freaking help. With 408 GB of installed content, I would hate to lose it... though i would like the forced opportunity to prune it. @d0gg0d (Adam) agreed... i really want to re do and limit my character sets to G3/G8/ & future sets.

Now those 3TB drives also hold STEAM and OCULUS and ORIGIN and UBISOFT and MICROSOFT MSDN , RHEL etc... dataset backups too amongts other ... i don't have 3TB of DAZ CONTENT 🙂
