    I noticed a request for an item that I had bought recently but hadn't gotten round to uploading, people were offering lots of points for it, I am not greedy so I posted a comment saying that I would post it soon, and didn't need the points.

    It didn't cost people the 100s of points they were offering.
    What got me was not one person actually thanked me. I could have taken all their points and still uploaded it. But I didn't.

    I try to give back to this site where I can, but next time I might not be so generous.

    It doesn't hurt to say thank you.

    I didn't offer points but felt compelled to check it out. First off, thank you for the share Ellie. Maybe I will download it sometime. It's very possible that nobody has seen your reply yet. The only person that gets informed of replies to a topic is the thread creator, unless a person subscribes to the thread for email updates. Anybody else that offered points has to revisit the thread, and if they remember adding points it's unlikely, when seeing it on the blog its sometimes a hassle to find a thread that gets pushed down off page 1 quickly and could be thought that the poster wasn't aware there was a request. That being said, common courtesy should not be neglected. Not even on a pirate site.

    If I have requested something and it has been filled then yes I have thanked the person that filled it.
    I upload a lot to this site and don't expect and thank you every time someone downloads something.

    @Legolas18
    Posting to the blog as a response to a request is filling it. The "pm for points" part gets left out. And hence any meaningful form of gratitude. Like a thank you. Something I know you place value upon. We're pirates. Common courtesy still counts.

    "Expectation of compensation?" You stopped posting to the blog. Isn't it because you want to keep the "freeloaders" from getting it? Do you download from the blog?
