@eelgoo I think most people have opinions on politics, but I like the fact that we can have banter and non-political convos on here.
Personally, I don't think I've ever metaphorically nailed my political manifesto to a door here, as politics; given the times in which we live, only causes arguments and worse.
If we want to vent or engage in political argy-bargy we have Twitter for that! 😂😂
What exactly do you mean by ‘it’s getting a bit heated’? Just look at what’s happening in the world—that’s what I’d call heated. And when I’m constantly dealing with harassment from right-wing extremists who, in my view, are damaging society—or am I missing something?—I feel I have every right to speak my mind.
As the title of this thread suggests, we really need a block feature. Is that too much to ask.
Of course they do, & everyone is entitled to their own views, and should be allowed to express them.
I am not saying politics should be taboo here, I'm just asking everyone nicely to keep it civil.
Block functions are not within my gift.
If you see a post from someone you don't wish to give the time of day, don't read it.
Just ignore it.

@eelgoo When people get into it online - especially with regard to politics, they rarely keep it civil, sadly, and aim for ''gotchas'' and ''zingers''. Personally, though some users here can be blunt and forthright, I've never come away from an exchange with the feeling that I'd been personally attacked, as I'm pretty hard to offend.
Some people are more sensitive, though and find it hard to deal with criticism or a different opinion if it's delivered bluntly. Some cannot tolerate antything that diverges from their personal ideology at all, and want to shutdown any discussion that might upset their worldview, no matter how mild it might be.
Now, I have no idea what started all of this in the first place, as I haven't been around for a quite a while, but I responded to the user requesting the block function by prefacing my remarks with my belief that it's unnecessary,as I'm sure something that amounts to serious bullying is dealt with when reported. I suggested ignoring the comments or requesting a mute button instead.

Most of us were being pretty civil I feel like and even did our best not to make it too political.
But ADAM just doesn't seem to know how to quit 😅 like I literally kept ignoring him and was just talking with Charley and others. He still just wants to try to have the last word real bad!Has literally committed on every thread Ive comment on nearly right after me, reference me or slyly hinting towards me. If you think I'm putting up with that shit without committed you're fked in the head.
If you want an argument or discussion then by all means respond to me. If you want to go about your day without an interaction from me then STFU. Its really not that difficult if you pretend you want an ignore button, start off by ignoring people. That is unless you just are inviting a response so you have something to whine about.

Don't start a thread about site features if you dont want a response by someone who has been talking about site features for multiple years. You think its the first time someone has asked for this? Get real. I initially singled you out because its your post. After that you referenced me in a discussion with someone else and called me a troll. There is a PM feature if you dont feel the need to make a public statement. One that Luca has used towards me but feels the need to make it public just like I do. A simple Google search for TDS would have answered your question. You're either incompetent or wanted to draw it out into a pissing match on purpose. Probably both considering your inability to deal with people who disagree with you.Ive no dog in the fight anymore and will eventually fade away. Ive decided to uninstall Daz and use my HD space for games, movies and family pictures.

I personally can understand where the pop ups come from if the site is really doing that bad money wise 😭.

you got it right the fist time , the begging for money popups drives me a little crazyy lol , but I do get y it's there 🙂
