When I use an old wig: Topmodel UpDo Hair, and set the Opacity of the Bangs (1&2) to 0,
they still cast shadows on the character! Anyone know what to do to solve this?
Are you fitting the hair to model?
If you are, try loading the hair into the scene and parenting to the head instead.
I'm not sure if it would work but it would only take a minute to check.
Hiding the cap does remove some of the "shadow" but but but..
It appears the Topmodel Updo hair is not meant to work without a bang, anyways that's my conclusion. Thanks for your help LP - very appreciated.
(small image? - what if you clik on them, don't they show as bigger gifs?)
Did you apply the hair to a G3F model or an G8F model?
I tested it with a G3F model and choosing the preset "No-Bangs" seems to work just fine(completely removes the bangs, no shadow). But, I first had to apply the 3Delight Material, and afterwards the Iray material. Maybe you can try this?
Ive had this happen sometimes. Few things Ive tried that sometimes work are changing the size of the hair to 101 or 99. Also Ive hidden parts or changed the cut out to 0 and then blended 2 renders in Photoshop. Also-Also changing head morphs slightly on the character may work.
