everyone that i know let all there DVDs go and moved onto steaming
a lot of my family members ask me why i still hold on to them well i just let having them
the wife gets so mad you got to many way to many when will you stop ........i said when i fill everyone room with book cases with DVDs she said no more buying book cases omgwell i cant help it if DVDs are only 1 dollar ea and blue rays are 3 ea many of them are still new
just about every week i buy DVDs any where from 80 to 200 of them
its a hobbies that i just like walking into a room and seeing them all still
over all when i was younger i when to the movies alot to take away the pain of being alone
i had no friends growing upI have about 4000 dvds / blu rays. ( yes 4000 )
Just brought a box to stream but havent hooked it up yet.
Been considering trashing about 100 VHS tapes.

Personally, I don't have that much DVD movies. Yes, I still have roughly 1000 store-bought vhs tapes as well (grandchildren love them; especially because they like the quality on the CRT-type all-in-one VHS-Tellie. But regarding DVD movies. If your area has a craigslist. Google this: Sony 400 Carousel. Over the last couple of years, I've acquired four of those machines. one of them has an HDMI connection. I'm still using a 1st generation Mitsubishi 1080p Television that still works awesome. The only thing I don't like is playing my Namco Ms. Pacman Arcade on it. Hence, I keep that AIO VHS-Television. So how do I store 1600 of my DVD movies? on four carousels. The bugger is I haven't updated my inventory of my DVD movies NOT in those carousels. Just a suggestion. BTW, I've NEVER paid retail for any of my movies - whether on VHS or DVD. I used to buy them in bulk from persons getting rid of their collections and going online streaming. But in all honesty, I haven't bought a new dvd since they went on strike and never made the sequel to Chronicles of Narnia. Save your money. I'm sure you're just buying many DVD movies you'll never watch yet alone unwrap.Technologies constant advancements can kiss my ass. I will not be letting go of my DVD collection anytime soon. Here's a photo of my collection from 2 years ago. Since, my collection has grown to include a 3rd identical shelf full of DVDs. Perhaps not as vast as Adam with their 4,000, but still sizable with a good lot of from the early 2000s that still play perfectly to this day and likely have a remaining shelf life greater than I do.
i have a work print of night of the living dead 1990
on vhs and scream uncut version on laser disc stillBeta tapes then VHS tapes, laser discs, (skipped over ccd video discs), DVD's and now Blu-Rays. Approx 3500 movies and 250 television series. Physical media is the only way to fly!
@Adam I didn't know there were dvds at that time ... of Adam and Eve and of course 4000 since you collect4ed them since then....not many though
