Sorting out Content question

Hiya, I was just wondering, is there a guide on what files go in what folders? I have a couple terabytes of content and I know I'm not seeing it all. Taking a look in the contents folder, a lot of creators seem to add extra layers of folders in the products, so not all shapes are in one obvious folder (etc Just as an example, like all morphs for Gen 8 female in one folder and so on). Also, do all materials and Libraries go in Runtime or both root folders and so on.
I do use Install manager for DAZ format stuff but try and install Renderosity stuff manually.
I thought if I knew roughly what file suffix went where I could manually shift everything into the right folders, eliminate extra layers and maybe see more of what I have. I just seem to have a lot of folders repeated or in the root directory under creator names separate from the main categories)
Does that make any sense at all?

I can't tell you how much I hate the vendor named folders, I try to remove them whenever possible, along with the vendor thumbnails and links to vendor stores. Why why why! I also despise those vendors who take to naming items 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B Oh my GOTH! the pain it causes when trying to organise!

I pretty much manual install everything. I do have a back log of stuff that I need to install, and have in the past had to reorganise some items, as the folders they were in were getting too big.

This is why I manually install everything.
Takes more time, but I at least know where to look for stuff.
