I'm trying to uses victoria 8, but I'm getting this message
Which is odd seeing as I do have the file, so I don't know what's causing this error or how to fix it.

Anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this issue?
March 11, 2018 at 9:00 PM #527800sounds like the same problem this person was having where paths were not set to match between DIM and Daz Studio https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/177486/could-not-open-file-file-does-not-exist
March 11, 2018 at 9:30 PM #527823An issue like this is one of the many reasons I always install manually.
Any auto install will fire the content where it or the vendor pleases.
Especially if you overlook updating setting in the auto installer.:0/
March 11, 2018 at 11:41 PM #527947I would delete your error message located in the help / trouble shooting / log
Then try to load her. once it fails, open the log and see what the error says.
Its probably looking for her someplace else. the easy fix would be to move the duf file where it is looking. other than that, you'll need to get some one that knows more than me. The not so easy fix is to wipe everything and install manually. I did this and though it takes awhile, its worth it unless youve got a LOT of stuff already installed.

That isn't the issue, sadly, but thanks for that.
@eelgoo:
oh gee I don't think I have the patience to install my 1,000+ content by hand
but I'm seriously considering that in the future if it happens again.
@d0gg0d
I tried that it didn't only gave me the path of the one I had openSo I'm probably going to have to uninstall everything and start from scratch
thanks guys
March 12, 2018 at 4:35 AM #528216Maybe just try uninstalling and reinstalling that one model before reinstalling everything?
March 12, 2018 at 5:13 AM #528235Yes trying a reinstall before you wipe it BUT, If you dont have much installed I would just wipe it and from here on out install everything manually.
I do this mostly because I like putting my files where I want them ( doesnt always work like this ) But almost all will. Ive had a few files very picky about file placement. Gens for G8 for example.
Also Ive blocked Daz from contacting the internet. I do not want any program installing crap for me. Not sure that it tries to communicate with the web site but, Im not going to let it know what I install.
Ive condensed my character files in groups by name. ABC. EFG. ect... so they are easier to find and load. Main problem now is a $%#& TON of morphs to scroll through when tweeking a character.
March 12, 2018 at 9:07 AM #528449my 50 cents here... manually direct the file path, and set it as a new DAZ library. For some bizarre reason, this is something that often occurs with Genesis 3 and onwrads assets with the installer.
I rarely ever use DAZ to render, but I still export scenes, sometimes, in Poser to retexture and render, and I've had to deal with similar isues on D/S 4.9, and manually directing to the library was my solution -
