Never seen anything like that before have you tried redownloading Genesis 8 Starter Essentials from daz its still free maybe it will over write the faulty one (if thats what the problem is)
April 18, 2026 at 10:47 AM #2172437I'll try again, I'll get back to you.
I think it's definitely a character I installed with a morph that's bonding with it.
I already had this happen with G9.
I'll try it and get back to you.April 18, 2026 at 10:59 AM #2172442Does this happen with the genesis 8 and 8.1 basic female figures on their own with no morphs?
April 18, 2026 at 11:03 AM #2172443April 18, 2026 at 11:06 AM #2172444I think id definitely try redownloading and try to over write as a first step
April 18, 2026 at 11:07 AM #2172445It's done, nothing changes ... snifff

Shoulder deformation in Genesis 8 Female (G8F) when posing is often caused by "rogue" Joint Corrective Morphs (JCMs)—automated shapes meant to fix bending that are firing incorrectly due to a bad installation or a conflict with another character.

Quick Fixes
Identify the Culprit:
Rotate the shoulder until the distortion appears.
Open the Parameters tab and click the menu icon (top corner) or right-click the tab.
Select Show Hidden Properties.
Go to the Currently Used group and look for morphs with names like "JCM" or those ending in character names (e.g., Candace, Erin).
Zero these morphs one by one to see which one "pops" the shoulder back to normal.
Reset the Base Figure: If the deformation persists even on a fresh character, your base figure file might be corrupted.
Load the Genesis 8 Basic Female into an empty scene.
Go to Edit > Figure > Zero > Zero Figure Shape.
Go to Edit > Memorize > Memorize Figure Shape.
Save the change via File > Save As > Support Asset > Save Modified Assets.

Common Problem Products
"Big Girl Morphs": Users have frequently reported that this product can cause severe shoulder distortion when combined with standard rotations or Undo (Ctrl+Z) commands. If you have this installed, try reinstalling it or disabling its specific JCMs.
Ultimate Natural Bend Morphs: These can sometimes create awkward deformations around the shoulder blades if not properly adjusted for your specific character shape.

Advanced Solutions
Adjust Rigging to Shape: If you are using a heavily morphed character, the internal skeleton (bones) might not match the 3D mesh. Go to Edit > Figure > Rigging > Adjust Rigging to Shape to realign the bones to the current mesh.
Manual Correction: In some cases, you may need to exceed standard limits. In the Pose tab menu, select Limits > Limits Off to manually adjust the Collar and Shoulder Bend beyond their default ranges to smooth out the transition.

Would you like to know how to permanently disable a specific rogue morph so it doesn't affect future scenes?April 18, 2026 at 11:16 AM #2172448This looks like a rogue character has overwritten your base G8F.
I would search back to when you first noticed the issue, & look at character or morph packs recently installed beforehand.
That will most likely be the culprit.
Remove that from your library installation, or if you wish to keep it edit the rogue duf with Notepad++.
Look for default morph values at '1' instead of '0'
Then delete G8F base installation & re-install it.:0/
April 18, 2026 at 11:45 AM #2172453I think so too, but how do I find what I installed recently?
April 18, 2026 at 11:51 AM #2172458I searched by date in character and data.
However, for the JCM, it partially works; when I raise my arm, it stops, but if I lower my arm, it creates a huge shoulder.
April 18, 2026 at 1:00 PM #2172470April 18, 2026 at 1:18 PM #2172473If the deformations only happen when you change the pose I think it's either a JCM problem or a rigging problem. If it's JCM, you should check all the hidden morphs that become active after changing the pose and zero them one by one until you find the ones causing the problem (make sure "Preferences -> Show Hidden Properties" is enabled in your Parameters tab). If it's the rigging, you can use the Joint Editor Tool to look if the bones align properly with the model after changing the pose.
April 18, 2026 at 1:40 PM #2172474Yesssssssssssss
By doing as you said, I found the error.
Thank you so much!
It was indeed a character set that was causing the problem in the AGD and BG3D products (Maddie, Ashley).
At least for me.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to helping me today.
