Where do these 'Magic Show' items come from please?
I've been browsing Deviant Art for the past few days and stumbled into...ok...I was looking for this stuff...some old Poser(?) items with a magicians show flair. The items are a spin on the sword box illusion and the spike table. I've put images in this zip file...

I've been using Poser-Studio since they started and have bought (or stolen) anything along this line, I just love this sorta campy stuff.
However, I've never seen anything like these fun little toys. I asked in each of the several individual blogs they appeared in but doubt I'll get an answer. I can't see these having been made by anyone in DA because they appeared in several different blogs AND it's easy to see that these are old; Poser 4 old....maybe Posette or Vicky 3 old.
I just finished going through any of the vendors in R'Otica who make this kind of stuff but drew a blank. DirtierEddy is long gone and he was the obvious choice. I'm banned from Stupid'Otica so asking there is out, and their search is crap.
I'm thinking that these came from some site or artist who's no longer selling and the site is long dead.
Do the pictures pique anyone's memory?
Thanks for trying.September 27, 2024 at 12:58 AM #2092802These look like something Renderotica would sell but I've had no luck finding them. I did a reverse image search but it only led back to DA. Good luck.
September 27, 2024 at 1:23 AM #2092804I should have mentioned that I tried all of them, Yandex, Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo....Oh..that's four isn't it. I even dug into my old bookmarks for Poser. Every single site was dead.
September 27, 2024 at 2:54 AM #2092807It looks old... I mean really old, so even if you find where it comes from you probably won't be able DL it. BTW I noticed a while ago I can't connect to Yandex either through my ISP or my VPN. Always get "This site can’t be reached".
September 27, 2024 at 9:39 AM #2092865Hmmmm, Yandex is working fine for me using the Opera browser without going through my VPN.
Those props look pretty good in Iray. I see that several of the artists have made some major texture changes in their renders.I just saw a reply on my DA account and he's saying that the Sword box was made and sold by someone on DA who's been banned. I'll keep looking since these folks often surface somewhere else.
September 27, 2024 at 10:43 AM #2092889I'm going through ALL Poser items on ShareCG starting with the oldest. Only 1080 pages to go. It's interesting that I'm seeing old stuff I bought a long time ago.
September 27, 2024 at 7:54 PM #2092949Yesterday I went through ShareCG too but only with search terms.. magic, magician etc. It could be there under some unrelated name though. Happy hunting Ethiopia 🙂 .
September 27, 2024 at 9:42 PM #2092965I'm somewhere in the 6 hundreds and have come across some great items. Do you remember those neat Reika-Kano props? His site is long dead but all his items are on ShareCg. I've found a few minor toys from those renders and some name leads that I'm exploring. It turns out that some where made by 'MacbreMagician' who has no presence that I can find. Still hunting though.
September 27, 2024 at 10:46 PM #2092985Nice find. Almost makes me want to use DS again... but not enough 🙂 .
September 27, 2024 at 10:58 PM #2092988If I remember right, the sword cabinet and the spike table were made by MacabreMagician.
Sadly their DA page got purged with the downloadable zip files 🙁

Two artists on DA pointed me towards the gent and I'm still hoping that someone will give me a copy of theirs since they are free. One said that the macabremagician was selling them but I see that that's not the case. He might have made them free after some time.
Thanks again, that gives me more avenues to pursue.
And I see that these where Studio files too.September 28, 2024 at 1:39 PM #2093117Success!!!
It seems that folks have been after this stuff for awhile...including me. It looks like I'd already grabbed it all and then promptly forgotten about it. I sure hope this doesn't mean I'm losing it.
Anyway, the thread is here with a link to all his items...September 28, 2024 at 3:20 PM #2093132@gelstat, Thanks, I'd found a few similar items.
One of the benefits of browsing EVERYTHING Poser and Daz related in ShareCG where all the older vendors. I found mylochka who made a lot of Star Trek stuff and a bunch of hair updos for Vicky Four. Because they're a static prop they work in Studio on any figure and need only a hair shader to look pretty good. She has a ton of styles you won't find anywhere else.
There seems to be several people using the 'macabremagician' name but so far, none have proven to be the real guy. I'd love to contact him to urge him to again take up the craft and at least thank him for the great and free props.September 28, 2024 at 4:03 PM #2093137His DA account shows as deleted but I was able to email him through his ShareCG account. Hopefully the account is still valid.
Tanks again. -
