As the title says i have many products that have poses but i use at best 20-30. When trying to find a pose through the program i get a ton of poses i never ever use. Is there some way to just bookmark the poses i use most of the time? or even better just select 10 poses for each occasion and make a custom "folder" or "product" or something?
November 16, 2021 at 9:24 AM #1749443Three ways I can think of:
Apply each pose you want to a figure, then save it (File -> Save As -> Pose Preset) to a directory in 'My Library/Poses'
Copy each original pose .duf from it's installed directory to one of your choice: Go to the directory containing the pose you want to copy the Content Library tab, right click on the folder, select 'Browse to Folder Location'. Copy the .duf and .png files for the pose you want from there to a folder of your choice.
Find the pose you want in the Content Library tab, right click on the pose you want and select Create Custom Action. You should then be given a choice of where to save the action (Scripts and - maybe - Favourites (I can't remember if Favourites is folder I created years ago or if it's a standard part of DS). That should put the pose in either the Scripts or Favourites menu above the toolbar.
November 16, 2021 at 9:35 AM #1749449You're in real trouble if you don't manually install because you'll have little chance of finding anything in the first place. Paul's advise is sound with regard to organising poses, or anything else in the folder structure. Bloated runtimes poorly organised, I'm not the best at it myself, have you wasting a lot of time looking for things. I should get on top of reorganising my own folders pretty soon.

I will try what paul said, copy the duf and png stuff and make a kind of super folder, maybe that way, and after erasing the files i dont need, the program will be faster to load stuff. Daz should really focus on optimizing their program. Its enough pain rendering on non nvidia machines.

You usually only have to worry about 3 folders when you manually install content.
Put the data into data folder, the textures into the texture folder and the figure/clothing into People/G8F for example. The folder structure is pretty simple to follow.November 17, 2021 at 4:26 PM #1749750Just right click on pose and select create custom action. You can add all your favorite poses to the menu.
