The idea of modular is not so much you should take everything, more that you select what appeals to you & put it in.
Options to customise how you wish to use it.
🙂
October 3, 2026 at 7:18 PM #2190513That's way beyond the scope of what I was trying to do, which is simply to remake/update the original building concept with slightly more detail. Customizing it can be done by using other prop and furniture packs, which are pretty prolific, instead of me reinventing the entire wheel. it allows for much greater flexibility, since the original building wasn't modular and didn't come with a bunch of props or furniture either.
October 3, 2026 at 10:04 PM #2190520I'm sure you already have, but on the off chance you haven't...ask yourself, "What is the purpose of the structure?" Until you determine that, you won't know what sort of detail it requires.
Is the structure military? Quasi-military? Civilian? Commercial?
Does it require security? What level of security? Guard posts? Sensors? Barriers?
What sort of communications? SETI? Military? SecInt? Interstellar communications?
Are the communications analyzed? Encrypted? Decrypted? How? Is the analysis done by individuals? Teams? Does that require offices? Cubicles? A meeting room?
What's the power source? Are there conduits? Cables? Pipes?
Does the equipment require maintenance? Where are tools stored?
Is there a site manager? Office? Toilet?
Is there signage? Or accessible surfaces for applying signage by the end user?
What sort of structural lighting? Bulbs? Tubes? Panels? Hanging? Recessed?
The answers to these questions should inform you of the interior details. I'd recommend imagining yourself inside, moving around, interacting with the structure. Or daydream a story of what you imagine goes on inside and how it's accomplished. It may spark your imagination.
