Quick Question - Renewing Image Links

I noticed that some of my shares had broken image links (postimg), so I used the "Add New Links" button to provide a new image link using imagehostx which is one of the new hosts.
But all that happened was the text link was added to the bottom of the page and the old broken postimg one remained unchanged. Am I doing something wrong or is this normal?

So there's no way to update a broken image link? I can't edit the original post myself.

What I did was repost the asset with new image and links... then report the old one as a duplicate.

The mods will take tho old one down, viola'

I think if I repost it with a new image it will be marked as a duplicate and removed because the original went up first.
Anyway it's no big deal. I just thought there was an easy way to replace the image.
Consider the matter closed and thanks for the suggestions.

Perhaps the mods could suggest something. A little bit of modding shouldnt hurt a mod.

The simplest way is to report your own post, use the "Report" button, use the broken link section, Add "New post image link" text, plus the new image link in the details box and a mod will replace the image link.

They won't delete the new one... After I create the NEW post, I go to the old one and hit report, select duplicate and then I write

"Please delete this post as I have re-upped the asset with a new image and new links"

I've done it for about 15 posts.

And I talked to a mod beforehand to get the all clear
