Some observations - Some filled requests get posted to the blog very quickly after they're filled. The 2022-03 Hair went up only a few days after being filled. I don't care one bit about paying 1000pts for it instead of 50 because that's much better than withholding it from the community.
I think perhaps the reason is that things get leached to other sites so quickly, if you're after points for it, it's better to get it up on the blog ASAP before they do.
Personally I don't see any reasoning behind filling a request and never posting it. I suppose people have their own reasons for doing that, and I respect that decision for whatever reason they have. "I have no desire to make windows into men's souls," Liz 1.

But the road can go both ways, especially with older stuff that has dead links here *wink*
I'd encourage anyone with surplus points to jump in and help out others with bounties... I'll add points to things I know I won't use, just to help grease the skids of a system that is, by and large, working nicely.

Want to enforce it? Have all filled post have to be sent to a Mod address linked in the top of every request. If the filler doesnt post it in 2 weeks then the Mod posts it. Seems kinda easy to me. If they dont send it to the Mod then reset thier points totals or turn DLs off till they link it. '
Mods don't get the links & it would be problematic if not totally non-viable to get them.
The last thing you need is to reduce the amount of stuff available & that would likely effectively do that.
We are doing our best to encourage sharing, not wielding a big stick over it.Mods do offer points for content, so they do get those links. (Do those eventually get posted if they dont go public?)
Do Mods verify posted links work? If so they get that content.(free?)
Not sure why adding one MOD link PM to your list of PMs to would crash the system. Then again Ive never been a mod so I've little no idea what is required.At the top of every request should be a bounty SHARING bonus. +1000 PM This Mod. This way you get paid and the link gets shared either by the uploader or the Mod 2 weeks from the share date.
Its my understanding that there are people that specifically send Mods content and ask the Mods to post it because they do not want it linked to them. Perhaps that was one reason for delayed releases. I do not understand why sending a Mod a link to release 2 weeks from the upload date would effect shares. This is a share site? Sharing is encourage right?
Would it be better to just fill all bounties behind closed doors and not post them publicly at all? There might be less leaching if sites had to request every upload. Why Close a request thread if the requests never gets posted publicly? Leave it open so people that come here a year from now can ask for it. Not like we dont get members every day wanting old content.Agree. Especially when I am sure most of their content comes from here to begin with.
They dont mind coming here to scrounge but they hate it when exclusive content finds it way to the Zone.@longtimemember?
Why all of a sudden is this a problem? Perhaps I lost my memory but, I can not recall this being an issue years ago. Maybe a long time member can refresh my memory.Relatively few items to my knowledge are posted for other members.
The majority post their own.
The heirarchy for posting rights is stated in the rules sticky.Threads are closed after fulfilment to encourage the donor to post publicly.

Thats what the 2 week grace period is for I would hope? feasibly it may not get posted for 6 months or a year. So even thought the post is closed they are still holding out for points correct? Seeing as how they prohibit others SHARING the share.
I am fixing to open a request for a character that was shared in Mid-December that I couldnt find posted but was filled. I cant remember if I put a bounty on it. Multiple request threads suck btw. Very confusing, at least for me.

Not sure why it's an issue. Over time I've gotten way more points by posting than sitting on it. Use to be I gave points away I had so much. You post a couple desired products you'll have more points than you can spend. I downloaded the complete site in a few days.
