    Hello all,
My question is this. How do you identify clothing items, hair, textures etc. from vendor posts at Daz, or Renderosity for example?
Is there a tip or a trick that I'm missing? I know some vendors will post details on their ad that such and such a texture or hair or clothing was used in the pictures. This is super helpful and greatly appreciated so that one doesn't have to bang their head against a wall or creep 5 differennt forums polling and bugging the audience to ask "can anyone identify this item" pretty please. lol
I constantly get inspired for new renders by what I see in vendor ads and such and want to add a specific item that i've spotted, but then have to spend hours trying to figure out what it is.
I'm sure I'm not the first that's had the same frustration. I'm just curious if any one has any tried and true methods to find this stuff out on their own?
    Here's an example...

I'd really love to know what pants are used in this one if anyone has any input, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Easy 😀

CruX II - Rebel Rock Pants

It's pretty random how you can find an item, but mostly:
    - Reverse image search (Tho Google Lens gets shitter every day)
    - Searching the DAZ forum with the item's (where you saw the outfit) name
    - Check the Vendor's other items, in a lot of cases they reuse the outfits and once again Reverse image search and DAZ forum search with that item
    - If you work with a lot of items (or at least you check the daily updates), then you will recognize the similarity/theme between the items/outfits, and you can easily narrow your search down
    - Drop a question here to ask the community 😛

Edit: It's the same, just the G3 version 🙂

To identify an item, there is no trick. You just need to know the assets, the artists, etc.

As for this one, it is definitely by Rhiannon, which is rather easy to find because her style is rather unique.
Finding the actual product is trickier, because several assets are very similar. But by browsing the Rhiannon store at rendo, you can spot the proper one in a few minutes: Rebel Rock Pants

You guys are great! I'm loving the community here so much. I constantly see everyone helping each other out and anyone one I've had dealings with has been amazing.
I used to be pretty into the Daz/poser, Renderosity scene back in the early 2000's but dropped off for a number of years and am just jumping back in now. Loving it and loving ZoneGfx.
Biggest problem now is mastering Daz Studio and finding time to render all my ideas. lol
    Cheers to everyone.
