Isaw a request yesterday and bought it from the vendor. I then uploaded it to the main blog.
Is it incorrect to do it this way?
I assume its my choice as I bought myself.
seems like everyone could benefit from the file if I uploaded it there. Also it would save the one who made the request points.
Im not really asking if its rude to do it this way,( because i dont see why people would need something before anybody else. at least i dont understand why), Im moreso asking if its out of the ordinary to do it like this.
    Not meaning any offense.
    thanks for the advice/answer

    Heya,

    It's a sensible question!

If people make requests, they usually offer points (bounties) in return for fulfilling that request. So if you buy XProduct from somewhere, you can fill the request and claim all the bounties. Depending on the item, this can be anywhere from 2000 to 30000 and upwards. Obviously with that many points on offer, you can use them to get a LOT of items from here. It's then usually up to you whether or not you post the item publicly but bear in mind that anyone else who purchases XProduct can upload to the public blog.
Posting guidelines and good etiquette suggest that, once you've claimed bounties, the request thread is then marked as "Filled" and you can post to the public blog.

There's a different point system in place if you post publicly - depending on how new the product you upload is - you can get a few thousand for posting a fresh item and then when people use their points on something you've uploaded - you get 20 points per person who gets it.

Requests are usually made when people are looking for a specific product or if they want a new release quickly, in which case a large amount of offered points can be a great incentive.

It's entirely up to you how you share something with the community, it just depends if you like/need/want more points.

Hope this helps and always feel to ask questions!

There’s no problem in doing what you suggest. If you do not want the points then nothing in the rules says you can’t post it on the blog, irrespective if someone has started a request thread. The only thing is, once you’ve done that, if you claim the bounty offered in the request, most folks would refuse to award you these points and rightly so.

@makaab Its your product. You can do what you like. I have no idea what it was you posted, but I do thank you for doing that. If anyone says its rude , wrong or offensive to be generous, then there is something wrong with them.

@makaab as long as you are the original purchaser of the item and you put it on your own MEGA or GoogleDrive download space you can either FILL Requests, earn the offered points, and instruct everyone you are filling the request for - not to share the item to the blog or elsewhere until YOU have done so.

The item you share is YOURS, you bought it you shared it, possibly earning a lot of points for it, that is your incentive to share more things if you earn a lot of points, but the rules here on FULFILLING a Request thread is that you must post the item within 7 days of the FILLED DATE shown on the Request thread.

We close those that are filled within 2 days after it has been filled so that people do not sit for days waiting and hoping that the FILLER might see they want it too after it was FULFILLED. As the person who gets the messages is the REQUESTOR not the FULFILLER, and that sometimes gets confusing.

When a post is FILLED and CLOSED, then I usually post the FILLED BY xxxx at the end of the main post, and in the final post in the thread, so anyone looking can search the MEMBERS listing for that person and request a copy for points.

But according to Eelgoo's rules setup in the Forums, the FILLED ITEMs must be posted in the ZONEGFX Blog within 7 days after the FILLED date.

You as the owner of the items you bought can either FILL REQUESTS for points or if you don't want to be bothered with getting points, just go to the ADD PAGE option and POST the item to the Blog directly.

I hope that answers your questions?

Feel free to PM me if you need anything.
