Question about filling requests

I just offered some points on the Request Thread... so how does this work with respect to a product?
So I offered points for a share.. does this mean that the product won't appear on the general share blog... or for a period of time? You might be miffed if you gave say 5000 pts for something that appears the next day as a general share for 50 pts. I'm not clear how things work around here.

It's up to the poster if they want to post it right after getting all the points from the thread. The offer of points is to encourage people to purchase the item in the first place. They could post it whenever they like, normally within seven days of filling the requests. Some folks will post it and disregard the request thread ignoring the points on offer. I know I have in the past.

Points offered should really intend to encourage the share to be made for the community.

In your instance, if that hypothetical 5000 points hadn't been offered, perhaps the share would not have been made at all.
