Greetings all! I have run in to several downloads that came through corrupted. I lost track of how many in all but at least maybe 1 in 3 is corrupted. A few times I have simply changed .RAR to .ZIP and that has worked, however this is rare (no pun intended).

Is it something I am doing wrong or is this just normal?

    Thanks!

I have had this when I use the 'Download as zip' option in Mega. Downloading the content normally usually fixes it for me

Zip 7 solves many problems. It unpacks (older)vwinrars with ease.

It only happens, in my experience, when I try to download multiple files as a free user of mega - the files are mixed up and corrupted. If I just do one by one, however, all the files are ok.

Thank you! It was usually happening on non-Mega downloads. I would say maybe 1 in 20 was a Mega download, the rest were through other links.

I hadn't even considered updating Winrar, but that did it.

    Thanks!

I have found 7-Zip to be the most versatile & reliable of archivers.

I'll take another look at 7z. It has been a few years since I really looked at my archival software, but back then I ended up going with WinRar because I couldn't open ISO files with 7z and Winrar had that ability.

I will admit it's been 15+ years since I even really looked at it LOL.
