Hi , are we not suppose to get a notice or message on here if one of our posts are dead ? I see someone has reposted one of my shares and it says it's a repost (dead link) but I never got a notice or message on here saying it was dead and I don't even see my original post to verify if was indeed dead , now this is not the first time this has happened and I'm just wondering why this can even happen and should I not be first contacted on HERE and be given the opportunity to fix it ?
.. you do get a mail whenever someone reports one of your posts as dead.. i have received it many times..
.. you might want to check your junk folder or check if the email is correct in your account..I've previously received notices here in my Messages inbox with the title "Your Zonegfx Post Has Been Flagged". Maybe search your messages for that?
As @gladson1976 suggested sometimes my emails from here are sent to the spam/junk folder. Mine then to happen due to the volume of them I'm assuming. But we usually get the email warning of a flagged post.
I've never had this problem. Any post that has been flagged as dead shows up in my messages.
Maybe, like others have said, check the junk folder in your email. 🙂
But shouldn't I be getting a message here ? that there's a problem with the post would that not make more sense the product is posted here so why not send me the message here.
@itsmenotyou that's what I was saying, I do get those alerts here in the my ZoneGfx Messages. So if you've never received them here, you should ask an Admin to look into it.
You'll only get a PM/email if your post is reported as dead, is it actually dead? It looks like this could be more a case of the re-share slipping through as a duplicate post.
If you're not receiving emails, maybe check in your profile in Settings -> Emails and check if your email is correct and if the appropriate alerts are set to ON.
At the bottom of each post, theres a button labeled ''Add new links'' if you want to repost your item. Once done, you need to self report the item using the label ''notify mods after adding new links in dead category''. If you dont do that the label dead post will remains on your items even if the links are working and you risk someone reposting the item.
@itsmenotyou I see you currently have 3-4 dead items in your profile, maybe you want to check that if you want to keep them. Also, if Im the one who reposted your item but you wanted to keep it, just send me a DM and i will delete the file on my side and report the repost as dead so you can post it again.
