So, over the last 2 or 3 days, I spent like 4000 points and , from memory, maybe 8 to 10 of those purchases were leading to broken links or were accidentally for dead posts...
Each time, i click on the report button and sent the notice.
My question : Will I ever see those points back? How long does it usually take?thanks
If you tried to d/l any of my items just send me a message and I'll send you the new link, because of late, some of my earlier links are dead.
.. no.. you don't get a refund for the points spent on dead posts..
.. as Charley said, you can try messaging the uploaders to see if they would send it to you.. some might not even be around.. some might reply late.. some might not..
If you click on the member's name on the post and change "author" to "members" in the URL you can see their activity. If they haven't been around for like 6 months you've got no chance of getting your points back and it's more likely the link would be dead the older it is.
Sorry for any broken links that occurred from things that I uploaded in the past. I've been uploading several items, as I have noticed at least 10 items so far, which have been removed - as I lost access to one of mega sites (forgot the password).
Ping @monkseye and see what he can do. He's usually fair if you really got jobbed.
@gladson1976 I don't get it, there's a whole section in FAQ about this and it says after contacting the member then the Admin, if none of them lead you to a replaced link, you can get the points back by admin transferring them back to your account, how do you say he can't?
I got 4 pages of download history... kinda long to try to find which downloads didn't get through... I should have commented on each with a request for a repost. I don't really feel like harrassing people... I take the L and move on... but last night, I took time on dead links to post to the authors...

Some of the info in those FAQs are a bit out of date like the Visual Guide to Posting. As mentioned above your best bet be would be to try to contact the uploader... you get 25 points every time someone buys the item.. and items tend to get quite a few downloads in the first two days since they will be in the first pages.. and they go down after that unless some one is specifically searching for them..
.. you might also see a lot of your other uploaded items downloaded together when you upload one.. sometimes people also tend to look at the uploader's other uploads..
