Some users like this one. Will try to post content from the markets under the "original content" submission tab. This is seriously annoying unless they can prove they actually made it. I'm hoping that they add a report tab when this abuse happens so the points can be changed to the default 50 range when confirmed. There's no way I'm paying 500 for something a user didn't even make on their own. Hope to see this addressed in the future
You're definitely not wrong in this instance. This is equivalent to me getting a cracked version of Photoshop off of 1337x or Limetorrents and posting here for 1000 points. I'm definitely monitoring this guy from now on.
How about to use this website as intended - DAZ3D content.

Why not charge the base 50 or 100 why add sticker shock to an upload? 500 is supposedly for personally created content.
If its a $100 item you brought to share I could see why you'd want more points but people regularly buy $80-100 bundles and share them.
DAZ items I post for a regular 50 point amount, including bundles. Bundles for iClone, Character Creator, Blender, Topaz software, other software... I post for higher number of points.
Nonetheless, I won't be posting that content anymore and I've deleted all of my non-DAZ content from the blog. So should the others, because this is DAZ3D content sharing website, right?
Mods should force this and not allow other contents to be posted here. Like one of the mods said: "They can get cracked versions from LimeTorrents or 1337x".
Good luck with that, people will need it, otherwise their computers might get infected.For me - this topic is done and closed, I won't be an "active" user anymore on this blog, just a regular one, chipping in points on requests and waiting for them to be filled. If I really REALLY need the item, I will buy it for myself. Thank you mod.

I myself spent money on blend market and never did that, nevever would, never will. 500 points for item bothers you? Rant in your room, but the internet provided you with wider audience, and you are trying to ignite something (who knows what except poor you) by rising this post up with meaningless commentary.
Be a man, remove your Blender and other non-DAZ files from a DAZ item sharing website. I have done it, so should you. I'm showing that this is not a scam, you do it too. Or the points that matters only on this website are too important to you? Hypocrite.
So, yes, because of you and your "too expensive" rant others are deprived of some files. It really doesn't bother me. They will eventually get them elsewhere.

Both sides have valid arguments. We discussed this among the moderators and reached a unified decision, which will now be applied going forward.
The “Original Content” section and the ability to assign higher point values were not intended to be used in the way @slanna has used them. This category was created specifically for content that users create themselves.
At the same time, @slanna’s arguments are not without merit. Finding software online that is free from viruses and trojans, verifying it, uploading large archives to a hosting service, and then sharing it — this is also work, and it is clearly worth more than 50 points. So I understand his position. This cannot be called fraud or manipulation — it’s simply his way of valuing his effort.

The “Original Content” section will now be limited strictly to content that has been created, modified, or improved by members of our community.
@slanna, there is always a way to find a compromise. If you want to continue sharing this type of content while avoiding public backlash, there is a good alternative: use the requests section.You can create a request for the item you want to share, wait for interested users to join, and then fulfill it. This way, you will be interacting with an audience that is already supportive of this approach.
Yes, there is always a chance that someone else might fulfill the request — but as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained 🙂
I understand the part that @Slanna used the Original Content section in a way it wasn’t really intended. However, it doesn’t make much sense to require them to submit a Request for products they’re already offering and have stored in places like Dropbox or Mega, especially when users would end up paying 500+ points anyway if they engage with the Request, and having to wait for the Fill, while the filler is also risking that another user fills the request with content they weren’t even aware of before seeing the Request the original user made.
The OP started this thread to suggest that “look, he’s sCAmMiNG users,” but a more constructive solution would be to introduce a new section for blog posts, something like “Others/Cracked Software” where contributors gets point value for what they’re sharing.
I also came across Slanna’s cracked Topaz AI upscaler, and realistically, I wouldn’t be able to find those programs elsewhere with the same level of trust. For me, and likely for others who actively contribute to the site, 500 points is very reasonable. I can understand, though, how that might seem expensive for """free""" users.
With the current system a user is able to earn 500 points just by using Shape Transfer to share a Victoria 8 morph for Genesis 9, something that only takes a few KBs and about a minute to create.
Meanwhile, users who share self found cracked programs, often 5/10GB or more in size each, don’t receive those same points as a payment for finding and storaging them.Anyone can google "program cracked full version", yes, but most of the safe sites are paywalled (I got my forever free Houdini Indie, Maya and Photoshop from one of those...) that is why I value this site and the posts Slanna deleted offering already safe cracked software.
requested years ago for separate sections for non-daz content. Not that this is the reason the argument started but if someone is looking in a section other than daz, it diminishes thier argument somewhat.
@slanna you came to reply and complain after being confronted in DMs, we're all behind a screen here stop trying to act mighty, calling people dogs after you scoop up cracked programs from telegram channels while acting like you cracked it yourself , then you blame me for deciding to punish other people on the site who have nothing to do with it just because you know what you did was cringe. "RemOve YoUr BlenDer FiLes" I won't punish people on the site for your selfishness. I've actually even done entire bundles of my own asset libraries before and didn't upload it for 500 even though it was validated. Demanding I do something after crashing out. You can remove whatever you want, that's on you. Just don't blame me for the way you chose to respond.

There are other closed communities that do cracking, testing, sharing all kinds of software, plugins and addons.
