Does anyone have any suggestions for place to post NSFW renders? I'm aware of 'rotica's gallery, but there is very little if any creative feedback and the sheer number of posts there means new content disappears off the first page in a few hours.
I used to use Tumblr before they got rid of all the adult content as well as a private forum that is apparently defunct and had some good discussions on them both about techniques etc. There's one sub-Reddit I know of that used to have a lot of artists posting original content, but that's now full of bad video-game porn and comics ripped from other places. I tried twitter, but finding the right hashtags are a nightmare as is getting followers and DeviantArt, despite it's name, restricts content to 'non-pornographic' images, which rule out 90% of my renders.
I'm ideally looking for somewhere friendly where I can post NSFW images and get some actual feedback on both the content and the technical stuff and where my post won't be buried within an hour by a succession of bad renders of different angles of the same scene.
Slushe is good but be aware it was established as a futa community so much of the stuff is relevant to that theme. You can filter out images with the big swinging dick-girls if such offends you. It's a very active community (more so than rotica) so expect your posts to fall off the "Most Recent" quite quickly too. It's a friendly and helpful place to be involved in with lots of good artworks... so I recommend it. Have a look and see if you like it.
It seems that you can still get away with all kinds of porn until someone reports you or their censors catch up with you.
That's what happened to me, and I was so pissed off, I never went back lol. I used to be a member of a small forum that was great. Enough daily posts to keep everyone interested, but not so many as you'd miss something good if you didn't visit for a few days and everyone was really friendly and helpful and included one or two people selling stuff on 'rotica. Unfortunately it disappeared during one of my hiatuses from rendering and I've never found anywhere as good.
I find getting feedback, good or bad, helpful for improving my skills and learning new techniques but finding somewhere where I can post something more than artistic nude renders and get feedback seems to be difficult. I've also been using Daz to create and sell some 3D printable figures and it's the same problem in that community as well; only one or two places to sell such things and while people spend money on them, getting any sort of feedback is like getting blood from a stone!
I wish I had the time, energy and money to set my own site up for other creative pervs like me lol.
Yeah that's the one! AoD was great. I was one of the early members there (circa 2008) and learnt a huge amount about lighting, posing and framing scenes etc and I loved that you'd get comments along the lines of 'That's really hot! But if you did this and changed that, it'd be even better.'
I miss it too. I know one of the other members tried to set up another site along the same lines, but that's gone now as well.
I'm not going to knock it, Rotica that is, but I understand what you're saying regards feed back and interaction. I use the site myself, simply because of the store, and the ocassional good item to be found there. I post the odd picture now and again, but I enjoy reading some of the stories. It gives you an insight to some very perverted minds, and just on some slight chance, an idea or two for a subject of your own. I'm following a story just now, which has me captivated, so much so, I can hardly wait until the weekend comes. Anyway, that's enough of that. I used to frequent a site known as Dreamslayer, not sure if it's still up and running, but they used to have an adult section on there and the feedback was OK. Some really good artists as well. Shibashake used to post there and if you are familiar with his/her work, you'll know he/she has a great take on 3D art. It might be worth a little nosey, just to find out.

f95zone has an active thread for posting NSFW renders and people there do give feedback when asked.
That's a very interesting and insightful take on the subject. As Ethiopia said, AoD and VoD were unique places that provided a good mix of 1 & 2 and I guess, finding it early-on, has spoilt me somewhat. There was enough ego-stroking to keep artists happy, but it was mixed with enough creative feedback to keep established artists on their toes and help new ones get better. It was also a good place to discuss - and showcase - kinks without feeling like a weirdo.
I'm not really interesting in making money off my 'art'; making naughty renders is very much a hobby for me and I make enough from the sales of my 3D-printable stuff to fund it and my other hobbies. Plus my CGI work is middling at best, my output is very slow and irregular and I'd be embarrassed to charge anyone for it. I enjoy creating it, both the subject matter and the technical nitty-gritty of setting the scene up exactly as I pictured in in my mind, and like sharing it because I hope that others enjoy it too. Likes and thumbs-up etc are nice I'll admit, but having someone tell me they like the idea or to see another artist take your idea and run with it, without being judged because you happen to have a thing that week for redheaded demon girls in high-heels doing something kinky with a football team is a much better feeling. Having them ask why is football team are hanging out in a medieval courtyard, and by-the-way, doesn't her tail get in the way? is even better.
There are any number of sites for people to share and discuss kinks and fetishes apart from, it seems, those of us who enjoy doing it digitally. I take your point about setting up a dedicated site, but as you said above, that takes time, both to set up and to manage and as selfish as this is, I'd rather be rendering than policing forums. I've done it before, and it quickly goes from a few minutes a day to a full-time job and I'm already time-poor. I was just hoping someone was a bit more altruistic than me I guess. I did consider setting up a private sub-Reddit for like-minded people but I'd have no idea about how to go about promoting it.

Thanks, I'll be sure to check them out.Ha ha I just knew some of my old compatriots at AOD and VOD were pirates.... we pretended we weren't and Wolfie was against it. AOD was great but VOD concentrated on very hard stuff (no Backroom) so I ended up leaving because that's not my thing.
@Frank21 I thought the same about the piracy. There were an awful lot of people running high-end things like 3DS-Max and C4D using 'work' licenses. Me included...
I know what you mean about VoD. I visited a few times, but the more extreme stuff did seem to have taken over compared to the mix we used to get at AoD.
Maybe I should set up a Discord for those of us who enjoy naked ladies and piracy lol.
Well I would love to have a place where i can post uncensored nude art and get genuine feedback from likeminded people.
There is no reason why we couldnt start something ourselves.
Maybe there could be a way to have a asite as part of zonegfx or something simular to the site create.zonegfx?
