    Pine Falls

    1871

When Montana's Big Sky begins to darken as it chases a boiling copper sun into the West, the shadow of Boulder Baldy falls across Vista Canyon. Here, the abandoned mine and equally abandoned town of Vista loom dark, silent and brooding in the gathering dusk. But the town of Pine Falls that sits in the foothills of the Big Belt Mountains just below Vista is the polar opposite.

Bright and bustling by both day and night, Pine Falls (Pop. 1273) was never beholden to the mine for its survival, thriving while Vista decays.

But what caused the sudden closure of Vista Mine? And why was the whole of Vista Canyon fenced off and quarantined with only a vague warning reporting a threat to life for anybody trespassing beyond the wire?

This is the story of Pine Falls as told through its townsfolk. Beneath the every day though is the story of something that doesn't just threaten Pine Falls, but the existence of humanity itself.

    Welcome to Pine Falls.

Looks cool. Just needs a cyber-dog running in the street.

Seriously thought, not sure how you would do it but cart tracks and hoof prints on the road would be a great touch.

Normally not a fan of book covers and fonts but this just looks right.

@ADAM Cheers mate. I'm certainly no expert with DAZ, just do this for fun, but I think texture is the way to go. Either add a few tracks to the texture that's there (if it's not tiled) or work out some way to do it with LIE.

Thanks for the feedback mate 😉

Funny... I have finished a small project for 1 week which looks almost exactly like yours. I will post my image here later. Anyway, you got it done beautifully.

@lucafeelgood Cheers mate 🙂 I'm working on a low end laptop so realistic renders like some of those seen here on the forums is pretty much out of my league. Still learning with interior lighting as well so THAT's gonna need some practice!!

Look forward to seeing your image too!
