Hey, guys. Looking to buy a PC off the shelf that would render faster than what I'm currently using (Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G4400T @ 2.90GHz / Installed RAM 8.00 GB).

I'm not looking to break the bank or do a custom build, just looking for something that would be able to handle some of the more complex DAZ characters and hair in a reasonable time.

There are a lot of people out there with more knowledge than me on this subject, so any help or advice you guys could give would be appreciated. Thanks.

3Delight does not use the GPU so I wouldn't spend money on a fancy GPU. But not having a dedicated video card can slow down a render...especially with 8GB of RAM or less. A faster processor will improve speed for 3DL as will more sys RAM. Perhaps something with an i7 and 16GB of GDDR4 would be the way to go. As GPU's go, if you're talking about a new system, you could probably get a GTX1660 for about 500 bucks.
Caveat - if at some time you decide to move to Iray rendering these specs will be considerably underpowered for that purpose. So make up your mind before you commit.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

I've been rendering in 3delight for over a year now, and it's what I will be sticking with, so no worries there.
