@Gts6, AoD or Art of Darkness and it's successor, VoD - Visions of Darkness - were web forums for xxx/sexy/pornographic 3D art. A bit like the gallery pages at 'rotica only a lot better organised with more feedback from other artists. Both had sections for the kinkier/more/very extreme stuff as well which did give them a bit of a 'dark side of the internet' reputation but some well known artists and PAs posted there and the for-want-of-a-better-word normal, non-kink sections were as busy and popular as the kinky ones. If rendering naughty images was your thing AoD was the best place to hang out on the net. I never really used the successor site, VoD, much as I had a falling out with the site owner but it was a similar sort of place, but catering more towards the kinky.
DA is Deviant Arts, a gallery/community/microblogging site for artists. Despite its name, it doesn't allow much in the way of adult images.

DA - would DeviantArts. DeviantArts banned me back in 2021.
Not sure about AoD and VoDOn Slushe - I've kind stop posting my art under the name I use to use on DA. Been there since 2019, when I got my first ban from DA. Last image I posted on Slushe was earlier in the year.
I still think Slushe is at least worth a try. You don't get a great many comments but you do get view statistics, achievement awards, likes and favoutites etc. There's also a Discord discussion forum, though I liked it better when the forums were on-site. There is also no censorship of images apart from the obvious ones.
@Frank22, I had a very quick look at Slushe yesterday and apparently I've already got an account, I posted there a couple of times then totally forgot about it... What can I say? It's been a busy year!
The thing I miss the most about AoD is the community, which does seem to be a bit lacking at Slushe. Although I did only take a brief look, it appears to be more of an image board or gallery like 'rotica than somewhere where you can find a very technical discussion of the use of the golden ratio alongside images of people with their clothes off. I'm not a huge fan of discord either; you either need to spend your waking hours checking it every two minutes to keep up with the twenty different conversations happening at once in the same channel in case you miss something, or the server is crickets. It's like IRC on steroids and I'm getting too old for that shit.
Our alien overlord is renaming the forum to something more all-encompassing. It seems that many folks are a bit (or a lot) turned off by extreme stuff and as much as they (me too) love the gang there, the gory shit is too much. There will be separate forums as in AoD and VoD.
VOD never had a separate galley like VOD despite me asking her for it multiple times. It seems pointless to ask a site that is based on misogyny, rape and female degradation to change it's spots. It's liking asking Son of Sam David Berkowitz to change his modus operandi. Nothing will come of that.
@Frank22, I'm willing to wait and see. As I remember it, the non-rapey galleries on AoD were as much if not more popular than the ones featuring all the nasty shit. I may be mis-remembering things, but I think you had to request access to that sort of thing on AoD because Hier understood that most viewers and a large proportion of the artists weren't there for that and didn't want it rammed down their throats.
It was pointed out to me via discord that Reddit isn't an ideal solution for an alternative; it does have some forum-like aspects, but posts are sorted by popularity and without having multiple subreddits, it's impossible to have sections for different gallery types and discussions etc. That's fine for if there only a few posts a day, but if things get busy, posts end up buried and discord is the same if not worse.
I looked at creating a traditional forum as well, but I don't have the money or time and my technical expertise is nearly 20 years out of date. I'm still willing to give reddit (or a discord server) a try if there's any interest, but so far it seems like it's just you, me and @Ethiopia.
It remines a question if those Germans, troops and civilians, who were bombed to the shithouse yet remained committed in 1944/45 to support or excuse the dying theology of ubermensch as Soviet Union troops were entering Berlin.
Some people forget that SU saved the world in WW2 from Nazism at the cost of about 27,000,000 as the West did mopping-up operations in the west. Contrary to Hollywood and the Hollywood film industry it wasn't Americans or fake "inglorious jews" who fought briefly from one wrecked Berlin street to the next, if at all in reality. It was supremely SU trained troops with a clear ideology to put an end German Fascism once an for all. We forget the debt we all owe to the SU. Even in such cases like Facsist Zelensky presenting his tiny loser balls to the West, a multi-millionaire begging for ever-more money is so unedifying. Perhaps I'm a bit jealous of duel-Israeli Russian/Ukrainian millionaire oligarchs hiding their credentials. Money always finds friends. I have none of any of such stuff and wish to die unrecognised, unpowerful, state-impoverished with decades of taxes and just a meek person who I am. But my types will inherit the earth LOL/.The rest of you can fuck off.... you cheesemakers.

I've already fired my bolt in a PM reply to SkippyTheMeh and how big tough guys run a mile when their little world of abuse and female degradation/torture is threatened by somewhat normal people like us. Don't go there unless you're into BDSM, torture female degradation and the like. Even the very few human standards I have left don't encamps shit like this misogynistic bullshit.

I had a look recently and it appears to mostly be found\stolen Source-engine anims now. It's a shame, there were some talented artists posting back when I was there.
