anyone know a good texture set or character where the papillary ridges are clearly visible for hands and feet ? doesn't matter if it's a normal, bump, specular or diffuse map and also for which character ... V4, G, G2, G3 or G8 ... since i haven't found something good in this regard, i'm not picky.
May 16, 2022 at 5:11 PM #1808897Most HD characters have a surprising amount of detail if you turn up subdivision level. Amity HD for Honni 8 has about the best hands I have seen. https://zonegfx.com/honni-8-pro-bundle/ Foot wise pregnant parker hd is amazing. Just got filled https://zonegfx.com/forums/topic/pregnant-parker-hd-with-hd-expression-for-genesis-8-1-female/
May 16, 2022 at 5:53 PM #1808909"Pregant Parker" seems to be good, but all Bluejaunte characters have very detailled ridges at the hands and feet (and generally speaking a fantastic skin). You can pick any of them (and most are here) https://www.daz3d.com/bluejaunte
May 17, 2022 at 8:01 AM #1809082Amity HD is not bad, but Septima HD from the same creator is even better. still not the quality i'm wanting but something you can work with for very close close ups. thanks for the suggestion ...
May 17, 2022 at 8:05 AM #1809083haven't checked out “Pregant Parker” yet, but some of his other characters. yeah they have ridges but most part of it aren't real ones and just generic patterns, especially on the feet.
May 17, 2022 at 8:41 AM #1809089What about Madarocsi from r3nd3erhub. There is CLICK HERE a fine thread and some characters a filled. The skin are scans so also the papillary ridges and the resolution is very high. Check his website and the thread here.
May 17, 2022 at 10:14 AM #1809111🤔 hmmm, since i have no clue which of the characters have what i'm searching for and there aren't any previews in this regard it's kind of difficult. if anyone own one of the UHD textures maybe he is willing to take a look especially at the leg texture and make me a screenshot from one of the toe areas ... because this is the main issue mostly ...
May 17, 2022 at 11:30 AM #1809120May 17, 2022 at 12:31 PM #1809130👍 oh that's a good one too, with a little tweaking and AI upscaling i've got a pretty decent 8000x8000 px texture out of her specular map. thanks for the suggestion ...
May 17, 2022 at 1:45 PM #1809159OK 2 samples I rendered and Click here you can DL 3 diffuse maps. They where png but I convert them to JPG. (tooo Big) Now you have an Idea.

Right click on the image to get them larger or you can save them..
hmmm, since i have no clue which of the characters have what i’m searching for and there aren’t any previews
There is a preview but I think.. you did not click on (CLICK HERE)
May 17, 2022 at 2:43 PM #1809168I'm not entirely sure what papillary ridges are, but are they the same thing as the wrinkled skin? If so, I use this product (available here at Zone) called "wrinkled soles"
May 17, 2022 at 3:30 PM #1809178OK 2 samples and Click here you can DL 3 diffuse maps. They where png but I convert them to JPG.
thanks for the previews ... not bad, good to know the names of the characters 👍 i'll definitely take a closer look to it.
I’m not entirely sure what papillary ridges are,
these are the small lines on your hands/fingers and feet/toes which make the finger prints.
May 18, 2022 at 5:59 PM #1809571Upscaling your character textures (at least the legs) to 8K ...
Here’s the link to this free Daz resource ...yeah, 4K x 4K is much to little if you come a little closer. it's a very subtle thing if the toes and fingers missing these lines. so i'm still searching for the perfect solution, the maps from NezDaz91 are a good workaround to see at least something, but in the meantime i was able to make me a better map with details over the entire foot.
however, if anyone know charcters or texture sets that comes with 8K x 8K textures by default, let me know.
