She is contemplating a new job, he needs one 😉
Tried the Spectral Rendering for a change, just turned it on, didn't fiddle with the settings.

Pff pretty hard to sort out the whole thing. Everything is so red. But I understood the scene after a while. Had to dive deep into it. Thanks for sharing.

As you know, I like to create " an atmosphere". And yes it is an bit dark and red, but it is intended to be a kind of sad, trying to show her wanting to end this life, and start a new one, and the johns keep coming...

Just my opinion. We know what opinion are worth but...

Unless you're after some abstract art concept a viewer usually shouldn't need to be told what's going or struggle to figure out what's going on. I guess some hidden message could be worked in and bonus points if the viewer was able detect it.

Unfortunately I'm on my phone and the image can't be expanded greatly. But zooming in it still is difficult.

My suggestion would be possibly another light source to break up the red a bit.
Could be a small lamp on the other side of the room. The moon. A street light. It doesn't have to overpower the red. I can walk out on a moonless night and the city lights still cast enough light to walk most places.

I explained what I was aiming for ( what feeling i wanted to portrait) It is not one of my better pictures, but like a lot off people, I am still working out all the settings concerning lighting.
My screen is a 5K tv, and i guess I get a "better" view compared to a phone.
But your tips on lighting hold merit.

Looked at it on my laptop and I see him gesturing with his hand and her holding her wrist.

My first impression is she cut her wrist and he's knocking on the window. The red symbolizing blood and/or dread. If I got that right, then you effectively portrayed your concept, but I still think a little extra light is useful. If I'm wrong, then it wouldn't be the first or last time.
