Hello, I cannot find a "FAVORITE" button to add to favorites. I'm using the latest Firefox

Where are you looking for at for the Favorites button ?
    In the blog ?

I don't think we have a favorites button in the Zone..

We used to have one, and it was very useful for keeping track of items of interest.

Yes, we used to have one. It wasn't as useful as you'd think - there was a cap on the list length, so eventually the first items added would begin to drop off the list.
I relied on the list to help recover after a HDD failure, to my chagrin found that the first 30% or so of my inventory was de-listed, and the other sad discovery that day was that links are not permanent.
Now I do what all the cool kids are doing, what with the physical backups and all that. 🙂

Annoying limitations aside, I would only save around 20 or so at any given time.
Mostly items that I have seen during the week that I would DL on the W/E when I had more time, then delete the item from the list.
Never saw any 'drop offs' or disappearances that way.

I think it'd still be nice to have a fave button or a bookmarking system to keep track of stuff to come back to!

Bookmarks can be done on the browser to the blog posts (cleaned up once in a while to avoid clutter)
Bookmarking purchases on the blog to download later and forgetting about them would be bad since the purchases expire in a month..
Better still to have a simple text file or a spreadsheet with the product name / link and the download link.. so that even if the purchase expires, you would still have the download link 🙂

The items would not be purchased then bookmarked to DL later.
Bookmark items to purchase and DL together on one day when more time available.
    Then delete bookmarks.

It would be nice to have a fav button to keep track of future downloads especially for the stuff not released till a later date.

well, every browser has bookmarks so why don't you use them for this purpose ? i mean, it's not that difficult to create a separate folder in your bookmarks where you can save all items you like.
