I don't think it will effect day to day buying or us. Just really bum out that we didn't get any new assets like we original thought this was going to be.

DAZ is always behind the times (and tech) so they must jump onto bandwagons just to be relevant to the 3D community
The meaty guy made these models and offers them on the DAZ interface to the modeling agencies. It's that simple. And the animation is for promotion. So this is not for you. 😀
I cancelled my PC+ account over this, tbbh. I just cannot, in any good conscience whatsoever as an artist, support this and those who support NFTs for so many reasons.
It's extremely disheartening, but not at all surprising of a development.
On the bright side, there's now lots of plug-ins to better use Daz content in other, better programs (Unreal, Blender, Unity, etc).
I do wonder if Renderosity might try to capitalize on the growing unrest over in the Daz forums over this -as I have a suspicion that some PAs with common sense will jump ship-, but I suspect if they were given the chance to jump on the NFT Train, they'd do it. :/
OK I know I will regret asking this, but surely only one NFT can be purchased for the same item?

Eelgoo, so this is exactly why NFTs are a really weird bubble. Because there is nothing that says NFTs won't be flooded completely devaluing one you just purchased. You could spend $100 and it shoots up to $1000 or you could lose the value and overnight it's only worth $1. Very risky form of investment.
