    Hey all!

So I have run into an issue that I can't quite wrapping my mind around for some reason or another.

Its seems like most G8F figures move/run smoothly. By this I mean- when you move or bend their arms/legs, they move to that position, and it gets placed like that. You move on quickly and efficiently to the next required movement or addition to that figure.

However, I am finding with certain figures like Tonya G8F, and Niah G8F, that they are very slow to respond and finalize a movement/bend/addition. If I bend an arm, it starts to bend right away, but after I let go of leftclick in the desired position on a slider, its as if daz is having an issue finalizing that movement, and the program starts to lag. The slowdown is noticeable for about 5-10 seconds, and then it goes back to normal. The moment I make another adjustment of any sort to that character, I am then again plagued with this slowdown. (However, this slow down only occurs when adjusting these particular characters in the scene, I can effectively adjust any other character in the same scene, other then the ones in question.)

Now with Niah G8F, I have found that Reducing her "Render SubD Level" under the parameters menu- from 2, to 1, greatly increases performance. However raising that to 2 or 3 on other figures doesn't hinder their performance at all. On Tonya G8F, reducing that same Level to 1, doesn't appear to affect anything. This leads me to believe that their is another culprit that I am unaware of.

Now, after that Long explanation, I'd like to thank you for sticking in and reading through it.

Does anyone know why this performance slow down occurs with these figures??

I suppose it all comes down to number crunching.
If you have a lot installed, or a lot in the scene, it can chug.
Probably the higher the number of polys, the more it is going to if you do not have sufficient RAM available.

@eelgoo Well to me it seems like its more restricted to something happening with the specific character. I can have that character completely alone in a scene, and daz will chug when I bend/adjust it. I can have 10 figures in the scene and everything can be adjusted efficiently, except that one figure in question.

Hardware wise, I have 32gbs of RAM, and 2x8gb GTX 1080sc at 2000mhz, i7-4770k. All my assets are installed on a SSD connected with a 3in SATA Cable.

    It should handle it.
It does sound like it is specific to those characters.
Some do put a heavier load on DS than others.

Are the subdivisions on the model maxed? Your system specs are close to mine and I have run into the issue with one g8f character whose subdivisions were maxed. Bring them down to more appropriate levels and problem solved for me.
