    I am creating a Spaceship by kitbashing.. I grabbed a pilot chair and have added some features. i.e. moving/reclining chair, movable joysticks, slight alterations, etc.

    What I want to do is make two cables in the back of the chair autofollow both the back of the chair while retaining its connection to the back of the arm rest. I can do this with dforce and timeline BUT I want this to occur without having to animate it. Is this possible and how?

    https://i.imgur.com/35cTwmf.mp4 - this is with dforce animation

    https://i.imgur.com/0asbnVU.mp4 - without dforce animation (notice lower cable end)

    Both together: https://imgur.com/a/NQnXG9Q

    EDIT: Daz Studio does have keyed ERC (via the Timeline)

    Is this what I'm looking for?

    @ethiopia

    that kinda worked but it mostly didn't. though I can't say i'm the greatest at figuring technical stuff out without a video guide. i null'ed one end of the cable with ik chain to the chair top (the reclining part) and null'ed the other end of the cable to the chair base. All other attempts at ik-chaining the cable to chair didn't appear to do anything. So in the end it would move but then begin twist and deform the cable until it was a big knotted mess. BUT AGAIN.. I'm not the best at learning from written directions, so maybe I just fail at understanding.

    HOWever, I decide to use dforce2morph by Riversoft Arts and was able to make a usable cable dial morph. Now I just have to learn how to create a parameter controller.

    Though, IK-chain will definitely help with the character figure using the joysticks because they are a directly linked.

    EDIT: ***this is actually my first attempt at creating my own scene morphs that weren't already included in the products package***

    ..i'll learn, maybe
