I'm hoping to get some maps done and tidied up then onto more conversions over the next few days. Studio is abusing me in the rendering department so it's going to take longer than I had hoped 🙁
April 10, 2022 at 11:20 am #1794206AnonymousInactiveRank:So I did all the texture maps for Iray and it went well apart from the body bump map which needs tweaking, I missed and it's lighter than the other bump maps. Now she has veins and all the rest, looks great. I wanted Uber skin but she also looks great with PBR skin, perhaps even better.
I would post an image but I'm having DS problems with the lighting and rendering so it's on hold until I can fix the issue 🙁

Very occasionally a PBR skin can excel under appropriate lighting, but usually I find them too glossy / plastic looking when compared to an uber.

I've looked at vendors maps and they vary from light to dark bumps among other maps depending on the look they want when creating their characters.Below are Iray UBER and PBR skins. The PBR skin looked flat while the UBER skin had a lot more detail.

The image below was the original converted to Iray UBER with some new maps created. For some reason or the other the back of the head and torso had a flat shine. After converting the maps to PBR the problem went away.

I'm going to fix the issue because I'm not the one who gives up easy 🙂About the Danae morphs. It's a 100% No I'm afraid.
They are dial spun and you have to apply around 30 different dials after porting them to G3/G8. They just wont port as a single morph 🙁I'd like to do both UBER and PBR skins but it's the translucency on the PBR that is the biggest hurdle. I will mess with the maps more and see what gives because the London skin has great realistic detail and it would be a shame to discard it at this point.
April 11, 2022 at 9:55 am #1794627AnonymousInactiveRank:Maybe this could help. He takes a V4 character with multiple morphs, export it as obj and load it as a single morph. Then convert to G2 and so on.

Thanks mate. I'm a native Vray user so this Iray mapping although similar is a small learning curve for me, it's all good fun. I'll try the offering from @trader and see if it does what it says 🙂

Danae's London converted from V4 to Genesis 8.1 Female. The whiter UBER skin tone is before she was remapped. The remapped version was better in the light and shows much more detail even in a low res render. The lower eyelids might need a tweak in Zbrush, they looked odd when I tested and applied some expressions. Skin still needs some fixing and Beta testing before release on the blog.
