Message when downloading

Does anyone else get a message when downloading stuff from Mega that Mega want's to store stuff on your computer ?

I assume you aren't using the mega desktop app ?
messages like that tend to show up when mega needs to store temp data on your pc
to download the files I think I used to get that when I used the firefox plugin.
there is also a warning in firefox (and I assume chrome) for when websites want to cache data for offline use.
but no I haven't had a such a message when downloading for a very long time.

No, I don't use Mega desktop app nor a pro account or firefox but I do use chrome. it asks if I want to allow or block it so I block it. I was just wondering if this happens to everybody else.

I use to get that message back before I got my own Mega account. If I am remembering correctly, what it does, it does not use the normal download manager of your browser. It instead downloads though it own temp download manager before passing it on to the browser manager where you can then tell it where to save the file. What I do now is just import the file into my account then toss it into the sync folder I have set up between my account and my computer.

PS: I do not have a PRO account, just a Basic Free account. (In fact, I have 3 of them.)

I do on large files. Its annoying but I just click yes and move on.

I resisted the mega app for a long time, but it's too convenient for collecting all this content.

I don't see the message all the time just anything over 65mb and on my desktop , I don't get it on my laptop. everything downloads pretty fast now that I got fib opt internet.

@Coolcat, Get the app. Seriously, it makes everything with Mega that much easier. And bumps up the amount you can download to 5GB every 6 hours on a free account (I think).

@Evilmonkey that sounds like an idea but I don't really need to download that much, on the best of days I would maybe download 1or2 gb.
