remember when it worked fine? Because now it reaches transfer quota on anything I try to download. I use to be able to download a kitbash easily.
I use several free Mega accounts almost daily to transfer huge graphics files with a group of fellow pervs (don't ask) and we haven't noticed any changes to their speed or quotas.
You must be downloading larger files, or more of them without realizing it. If you use the desktop thingy you can download a bit more than the advertised quota for free accounts.And if you run a vpn after you hit a quota to change your ip then restart the desktop app - you get a new quota limit.
But like Ethiopia I have not noticed any change.

Huge daily transfers?
I have noticed this as well, and yes sometimes I do have HUGE transfers in one go. But you should look into downloading JDownloader2

It's freeware. Basically it's like a good ole download app from back in the day, but you can select the mega nz option under the add on or optional tab and it will automatically help with the downloads by changing the ip. You don't have to sign up for anything or sign in either. Just drag and drop the mega link onto the link grabber and then hit the start downloads button. I used it the other day for about 50ish links (non-Daz products) that someone provided me and it was able to download everything even after it hit the quota.
it's kitbash 3d I used it a hundred times there always a good 5gb-10gb and it always worked before
