Last week my external drive housing all my Daz folders/renders/saves died. It's all gone except for some pictures I had saved on my pc hard drive. *sigh*
It has taken me days to rebuild / re-download to just half of what I had before. To celebrate, I created a contest! Check it out and see my first render (it's the start of a new library) here - https://zonegfx.com/forums/topic/love-love-me-do/
I live in fear on my runtimes drive meeting it's maker...
I appreciate this is a bit 'after the horse has bolted' but I keep my 'My Library' folder on one of my cloud drives, so if the worst happens, I've still got my renders and scene files (and OneDrive has version control, so if I accidentally save or want to go back to a previous save I can do).
I keep my content/runtime folders internally on a 4TB SSD disk, but I also have an external 4TB disk that I frequently synchronize to, which ensures that I have at least two copies of my goodies at all times.
Using this and various similar programs over the years has saved my arse more than once.
