Hey everybody! I was thinking I would ask here after long hours of searching and getting few results.

I'm looking for clothes that doesn't have boobs hanging out, ass and upper thighs on display from the get go, but has morphs to enable that.

I prefer dynamic morphs over dforce.

I'm trying to put together a couple of outfits, primarily, skirt and shirt/blouse that looks everyday and casual.

I like the ones from Peache over at Daz, wish that vendor had more variety.

    @Ethiopia, thanks bud 🙂
Hopefully I can get something premade for Genesis 8. I agree Vicky Four has very nice clothing, I'm just unsure how well it would convert and look in poses with say a hand behind the head. I've converted some Genesis 2 clothing and it looked great in poses near the zero pose but deformed horribly past high bone movement. Not looking to make pretzels, just a little energetic 😀

Maybe I got my terms wrong... I think dynamic morphs are like what a lot of clothing from Pretty3D uses? Looks like it drapes by just moving a joint. I can live without dynamic morphs. Just want some clothing that won't everyone stare in the supermarket.

    This is a perennial complaint.

Tidal waves of skimp wear & precious little real world practical clothing.

Anyway, I would look at Wild Designs, Aave Nainen, IH Kang, Nelmi, Oskarsson, Tentman & Kaleya for starters.

There should be quite a bit of it posted here.

    🙂

If the dress undress morphs are required, ( they are for me), Ambrosia over at 'Rotica has some items of interest.

To my limited experience, Blender's cloth engine and dForce are essentially the same. Start getting collisions, and it balls up and/or floats away. The mesh has to be prepped to be one piece, or it falls off the rest of the garment. Pin groups are a PITA. You have to animate a character into a pose if the final position intersects with the cloth's starting position. I once got so frustrated trying to make a layered V4 skirt work that I just ended up rigging the damn thing.

Is MD really that much better? I want to learn how to make my own clothes, but this whole "work for food" nonsense gets in the way of my learning progress.

@eelgoo, Thanks bud! It's gonna take me some time to look through those in detail, but just scanning them real quick, I can see a lot of potential there 🙂

@yngarr, Yeah! Aeon Soul is great! Hameleon, very talented too. Some of the best poses around. I will give the clothing a try, haven't really considered trying it to achieve a modest look. Big thanks 🙂

@Redflag, I have, thanks 🙂 Also rediscovered the Casual Closet that I forgot about.

I think everyday clothes are harder to come than fantasy clothes because many people are looking for a break from everyday life. Nothing wrong with that... Skimpwear is fantasy fufillment, sex sells

For a real world story, it makes it difficult to match characters' personalities with their clothes. I'm trying to mix and match clothes and hair to create interesting unique outfits and hairstyles, but many items don't play nice together. The hunt continues...

I hear you about trying to match clothes to the character.

Sometimes you have to look "under the hood" a bit, as some short skirts have "long skit morphs" and open front shirts can be closed a bit to get a more modest visual.

And shaders can play a role as well... but regardless, good luck on your hunt, let us know what you find!

Thanks @Redflag 🙂 That is good advice. When I'm at my computer I will upload a render or two showing a custom hairstyle I tried yesterday.

Totally feel your frustration, it can be a real mission finding casual female outfits that don’t immediately scream nightclub or fantasy cosplay. I’m in the same boat: just looking for something everyday and wearable, especially for scenes set in more grounded, real-world environments.

You’re spot on about the stuff from Peache clean lines, stylish without being over the top, but yeah, the range is a bit limited. For something similar, I’ve had decent luck mixing in pieces from Oskarsson and Tentman, as mentioned above. They tend to balance practicality with good rigging, so poses don’t fall apart too easily.

Also, while most of the content on Daz skews either ultra-glam or ultra-fantasy, I’ve started pulling from a few fashion retailers as style references when setting up outfits. One I came across recently that fits that modern casual vibe is Rooh London definitely not 3D content, but a solid source of inspiration for how skirts, blouses and relaxed fits should look. If you're into kitbashing or even dabble with Marvelous Designer, you might find their styles helpful, visit here if you're curious.

Hopefully more creators catch on that not everything needs to have everything on display straight out the gate. Until then, it's piecing bits together. Best of luck building your outfit sets, if you come across any hidden gems, would love to hear about them!
