Looking for advice ona graphics tablet

Wasn't sure where to post this but this is the current tablet i am looking at buying

Figure this would be a good one to start with but i am just wanting to know a few things. Is this a tablet that can be used for 3d sculpting as it says being used for drawing alot? i see it says blender compatible but it shows it under the recommended softer with linux. so i am a bit confused on that as i want to hook it up to my pc sometimes. can this tablet also be used to work on sculpting in blender without being hooked up to a pc?

As luck would have it, Wired just did a special on tablets. I'll add my vote for the Wacom Intuos. I've had one for...well forever. I love the thing and it's been flawless for over 10 years. I don't use it for 3D but for Photoshopping it's brilliant.

thanks for the info. 1 reason i am thinking of this one is price. i know it is on the lower end and somethings are not offered but i am hoping i can load blender on it and take it with me.

Major problem is that I had to integrate it with a Dual monitor
system. Hate to hire a guy who spent the day.
Also with tablets like this you must be aware of the dangers of carpal.

Just glancing through reddit and similar places, it appears to work well with Blender.

Here's a rather good video of the non-Pro in action (turn subs on if you don't speak Spanish).

The person in the video is clearly using Windows if you look at the taskbar and I doubt it would have changed between the non-Pro and the Pro version.

If we talk about graphics tablets, there is always the ubiquitous Wacom. I used a Cintiq about 4 years ago, before the Covid confinement (...) in a job (organic...) that was necessary for me, far from the orthogonal pieces of Solidworks (CAD/CAM...) He left it to me a friend, that his son makes manga with Krita.
What is clear is that a company that has to compete with the brand par excellence is not going to sell garbage, since that would be throwing stones at its roof. It must compete on technology and price, and Huion plays that card.
With the accessories that you can add, such as the stand, and something else, the opportunity is magnificent, with that 30% discount.
Me, because I don't use it, but I would buy two! 😀

Agree with ethiopia: Wacom Intuos. The pen is the key and Wacom intuos Pro's pen is incredibly responsive (at least in my experience).

thanks for all the replies, it was really helpful. i really wanted a display tablet as i think that would be better for me and the Cintiq is just way out of my price range. After watching that video that Al-Amira linked, i think i will be getting that one. My last question is does it have to be plugged in to something to be able to be used?

@shimra yes, it's a PC peripheral. I have a similar tablet from Huion.

AFAIK there isn't good android support for Blender, and almost all standalone drawing tablets run Android.

Basically, a USB 2/3 to take electrical power and an HDMI to replicate the PC screen.
