Apart from being a compression maniac, the unforgivable thing is that a Vendor is called that, and puts garbage on your hard drive. That's shameful. They don't compress almost anything: I'm not saying minify, but a simple gzip (zlib) included in Daz Studio.
They ignore anything.
A simple png to illustrate a duf, at 300Dpi and 4200X4200 pixels: And nothing happens. You install it and shut up. BECAUSE you do not know what you are getting into your computer: All fast and beautiful.
That is the Culture that exists now. (Or almost always, since the Neolithic ...)
The worst I've seen so far, and I've laughed out loud: A 54Mb Pdf on Linday's "Side Layered Messy Hair with dForce for Genesis 8 Female (s)". 54Mb, which once optimized, does not even reach 300Kb!
But, it doesn't end there: A "Tutorials" folder with 639Mb !!!! In video .mov format !!!
Does the problem scare?
Those are the PA professionals?
I have seen pdf's in documents of more than 100Mb.
I will be a psychopath, but there are more brave than me. 😀
That's why I say, before installing an IM00xxxxx, look at what there is: Be curious and dedicate.Yes, I hate bloatware too.
It is just lazy apart from anything else.
I have found with 3D items in general that large filesize is not neccessarily good & with a well optimised item small filesize is not neccessarilty bad either.

You are both smart. You cannot buy something with defects. I'm sorry for PA´s who are "unaware" of what they do. Obviously, they are "amateur's" to take into account, as Ethiopia says, there is not a moral / technical code. It is not a question of whether they are more or less professional ..., but of intelligence: That strange human faculty.
And that speed of making money selling "stuff with added junk" is what fills your hard drive with useless shit.
And willingly pay for it.
But ... Life is wonderful. 😀
