Original 3% render

in order

September 14, 2025 at 8:56 PM #2145227Krea online seems to do a whole lot of stuff but I assuming you're using some sort of function to enhance a DS render. The face realism is the most noticeable improvement and the hair looks a bit better too. I thought AI was your Kriptonite Adam. 🙂
September 14, 2025 at 11:12 PM #2145244Yeah. Someone brought up Krea and skin issues. I don't remember it giving me poor skin results so I popped out a render and rolled some dice. I remember being impressed at how it brought a more realistic appearance to what I originally tried. Probably a few months ago. It was just click to upload and click to enhance. I take no credit for what AI did. Ill take a bit of credit for tweaking a set pose. Dialing in morphs I didn't make to customize her and adjusting the light direction. Also changing the clothes texture. That's about it. Rest of the credit goes to the many people involved.
AI basically showed me what is possible with next to no human intervention and made generic art mostly pointless. You cant search online without getting 50%+ AI crap.
September 14, 2025 at 11:18 PM #2145245So I mostly lost interest in "art" online or digital art. Only occasional mess with it. Even less than I did before. Its just who can copy someone else's style randomly till they roll something cool and take credit for what AI did with someone else's work. Its a cluster fk of random crap void of humanity. Maybe that will change but for now I'm just sitting on the sidelines.
I think if Daz were to use AI as a render engine I'd be a bit more accepting.

Particularly on YouTube where most cover images and voice-overs are AI generated. It's obvious when it gets the pronunciations all wrong, and a full stop called "dot" and hyphen in a word called "dash". And you can forget about names of people and places, even quite common ones.
September 15, 2025 at 5:06 AM #2145266If my eyes or ears detect AI on YT I instantly ignore the channel. I have been ignoring AI edits also. They make my brain sick with the poor cut timing.
Some of it gets by me. Eventually I won't have much to watch.
September 15, 2025 at 8:35 PM #2145349Do you like this AI analogy Adam. You can make an unlimited variety of pretty pictures but it will only do what it it allows you to do, and you have virtually no control over what it produces.
I remember getting one of these for my birthday back in the 60s.September 16, 2025 at 6:26 AM #2145398Face is ok on most
The face isn't ok. I don't want to be picky, but when I look at the rendered face and compare it to the second picture, I see a totally different person. Look at her chin. Her nose is different too. Not to mention her mouth. She could be her sister, but that's about it.
And all the following pictures are even worse. In my opinion... She changes from a gentle, soft girl into a cold, fierce one.September 16, 2025 at 8:14 AM #2145413@lucafeelgood
Its not going to win any AI prizes for a 3% render ran through a free program with little control and a halfhearted effort but it adds a little realism vs a toonish look. I'm not particularly fond of the identity change and not expecting consistency from AI. I've definitely seen better results. AI isn't something I'm going to spend lots of time tuning. I occasionally like to see what random person it thinks I want and that part I kind of enjoy.
@frank22
Somehow I feel if you mark a gear tooth and start on the same hole each time you'll get pretty comparable results. I may still have one somewhere at my parents house.
This is probably a better option
September 16, 2025 at 9:56 AM #2145427September 17, 2025 at 8:38 AM #2145561@d0gg0d. I just wanted to say that AI changes the personality of a character from a self-made render. And I don't think that's good.
September 17, 2025 at 7:45 PM #2145631I agree. Its not good. My version of "OK" means reasonably acceptable and some are a bit better than others. The change in expression and appearance is something I expect from Krea so I did count it as a negative. If it kept the original then it wouldnt be realistic I guess. Not sure what person they pulled the face from but I found it interesting.
