hi
i could not ever have the speed to render fast but now wow
getting use to it, i gave my 3080 away and power sub tooDecember 20, 2023 at 3:51 AM #2049180Updated myself 6 weeks ago to a 4070 (from 2080). I don't use DS anymore but the extra VRAM comes in handy for Stable Diffusion and Kohya. Enjoy your 4090.
December 20, 2023 at 7:00 AM #2049192Congrats and enjoy, I hope to also make that change sometime in the future. I also have a 3080 btw.

December 21, 2023 at 7:46 AM #2049444You probably want more DRAM. I have 3090 which also has 24GB VRAM, btw I went from 980 lol. In my Daz stress test DRAM usage peaked at about 40GB when VRAM is max out. 48GB kits weren't available when I built my rig so I went up to 64 but I've never seen my DRAM usage exceeding 44GB since. Could've saved a few bucks.
December 21, 2023 at 11:20 AM #2049477Nice. Last year I upgraded to a 3060 with 12GB of VRAM. I have a system that runs on 64Gb. I looked at the costs of the 4 series start at around $2,000 or so. Unless I looked at Amazon. I probably want to upgrade windows 12 with a new system in a few years, as I'm running an i7-9700 chip - which I brought in 2019.
December 21, 2023 at 3:19 PM #2049508Still down here with a 2070, but still enjoying it. Renders last around 5-10 minutes at most due to a lot of optimizations (when you're doing lots of toon stuff, you're not really all that concerned with what the De-noiser filter does, and I actually like using it since it helps flatten things a touch.)
