Sorta, but that's DAZ' hang-up, though (which is why you could never get a decent set of working genitals directly from them). Renderosity has a touch of that too (given its TN location). But, I think that overall, it's more along the lines of not wanting to induce porn-fatigue, and maybe class-up the joint a little (and as a knock-on bonus, all the sites that copy off of Z_GFX carry along the same cover-ups.)
I don't mind either way, though sometimes it is an inconvenience, especially when I find myself popping open an incognito window and hitting the original product page just so I can see WTF the thing looks like.

LOL you jarred a memory loose; one time a few years ago I got an address for the headquarters and decided to google it, Maps took me to a tiny shack on a Tennessee mountain road.

Renderotica used to be, if memory serves, run out of the owner's house in SanFran. Owner's name was Diane (umm, something. Can't recall her last name.) I don't know if she still owns it or not.
DAZ moved at least three times that I know of, but all of their locations were in Draper, UT, a suburb of Salt Lake City. They always rented their locations.
@pooper. Her name was Diane Griffith. I believe she passed away a year or so ago from cancer.

Some of her work was a little quirky but I liked her work a lot.
