    It's Turbosquid - I'm not surprised. They often charge exorbitant prices for single assets - antique furniture and so forth, when similar can be found at Daz/Rendo for far less.

    Having said that, there are some beautiful baroque assets available on Turbosquid which I would love to buy, but I cannot justify spending one hundred quid on one asset, when there are similar - though few and far between for my tastes - to be found elsewhere.

    Squid's licensing is much less restrictive than Daz's. Daz only provides account based "named user" license, so if your project has 10 people using those assets you need to buy 10 licenses, one for each user account. Then they charge separately for 3D printing and game development.

    So for single user rendering Daz licensing is cheap but, overall it is way more costly for game development in teams.

    @sandeep I get that, but for people like me (single users), who simply incorporate 3D renders into some of my photobashing/manipulation/digital paniting works, it's a little too much.

    I don't make animations or develop games; the 3d models I utilise are just there to save time on having to draw a person/scene from scratch. I use a mixture of 3D, painting and photobashing in my pieces.

    All I am trying to say is that the licensing price varies based on the "rights" the license grants to the licensee. You would be surprised that many people do not understand that, and they compare the prices across marketplaces just on face value.

    In your case, the grants are much broader than what you need, so you are finding the pricing prohibitive. I am not sure if Squid provides a separate restrictive personal license like ArtStation, so if you need the same items cheaper you might be better off negotiating directly with the artist, and having a usage/sale agreement customized for your needs outside the marketplace.

    I bought a North American style coffin a few years ago from a vendor on TurboSquid. Like many other vendors, he sold on several different sites and when I told him I only wanted it for me to use in Studio, he sent me to a site he sold at with very restrictive usage rights, but a much lower price.

    @sandeep I get it, but it's also a little off putting when I find an asset I like and see the price. I have tried contacting certain vendors before, but sadly got no response.

    @ethiopia
    That's great! But, I guess it depends on how flexible the vendor is.

    You might do a reverse image search to see if the figure has been pirated and is available somewhere else. I see lots of high end stuff winding up on sleazy pirate sites. Unfortunately the rips are usually pretty bad. I grabbed one amazing bedroom suite that turned out to be one huge mesh. After an hour of separating individual items in Blender I gave up.
