I'm surprise Adobe hasn't snatched up DAZ. It's the only real hole in their arsenal. They have lots of stuff for 3D modeling for text, logos and other vector graphics, but last time I fooled around with FUSE, it was cartoonish at best.

I have never pretended that Daz is a "cheap Maya". The business target is clear ... All I want is for it to be updated correctly and be "more transparent" in its new versions. Maya, MotionBuilder, C4D, etc. use python as the scripting language, and it has perfect documentation. A hidden code "dse" script may contain harmful calls, Trojans or viruses (Which can be done perfectly ..., and we trust the programmer's ethics.)
Even Blender uses python! Maya is relegating her own MEL code to this universal language. I find it frustrating to open a script that worked in versions 4.10 or 4.11, and that didn't work in 4.12.
Yesterday I tried Mixamo with Genesis2, I download it on FBX, and Daz himself does not open it: This is very serious! 😀
