Is this buddy-bot robot based on something else?

This picture with the girl and the robot, I know many daz characters are based on something else.
I am positive I have seen this type of robot that carries a person like this before but where?
Its looks so familiar, its driving me nuts but can not pin point where or what it was related to.

Reminds me of either the mechanical loading machines from Aliens or the vehicles that the humans used in The Matrix Revolutions to fight the machines, but that’s probably not what you’re thinking of.
