I feel like there were a ton of 60-70% off sales in late winter early spring that kinda dried up around summer. Looking at other forums they say there aren't any decent sales until summer. Just trying to figure out how many months I might be waiting 😬
December 4, 2022 at 10:27 PM #1897558TBH 'Rosity dales are pretty constant, much like Daz.
Unlike Daz, they actually tell you when a sale is ending, which can be helpful.
Have a look under the 'Deals' drop down menu.Typically ongoing sales are 30 - 60 % off.
Most are half price.
🙂December 4, 2022 at 10:33 PM #1897563You just missed the site-wide 50% sale a week or two ago. While there are occasional 60-70% off sales on older items, I recommend jumping on the 50% sales for the items you want. Don't forget to check your account rewards for occasional free gift cards after you buy stuff.
If I remember correctly, last year there was a lot of sales in late December/early January.
December 5, 2022 at 8:49 AM #1897659has anyone seen the old stuff at 3.5$ each for "almost discontinued" items? it was actually quite interesting as there were products that were new-ish, even some G8F chars that normally go for over 10. I had never seen such a high discount before and everything was discounted to cost just 3.5, with some items discounted at 90%. I would love to see that again!
December 5, 2022 at 11:08 AM #1897730That will probably be around Christmas or New Year, if previous years are anything to go by.
🙂
December 5, 2022 at 12:00 PM #1897760Some stores at 'Rosity on 60% off today.
Check the 'Deals' tab.
🙂
December 5, 2022 at 2:44 PM #1897811@littlepleasures Thanks, confirms my own observations / secondhand gossip from others.
@zx96 the annual Rendo $3.50 clearance sale may be bad for vendors but it's great for the rest of us! It's worth keeping your wishlist well-stocked, makes it easier to find stuff you really want when there is a sale, and they sometimes put everything that's been wishlisted by you or anyone else on sale. That also happens once or twice a year as I remember it.December 5, 2022 at 3:16 PM #1897820The clearance sale was really a surprise to me and i have been getting assets since 2020, never noticed it before but love to hear it wasn't a one off, thanks for confirming it.
Sorry to hear the sales tank profits of the artists but also, it seems to me some products from 2/3 years ago could stay at a nice price as most of the purchases would have happened when the product was in its first year of life.
There is so much content out there that i doubt that aside a few OC collectors like me , most people won't bother with older assets, so i think it's nice they give me an option to buy very old assets for a nice price.
Heck I even buy V4 stuff sometimes and I fell i shouldn't pay top price for those ^^
December 5, 2022 at 7:28 PM #1897870Thanks for the explanation LivingPixels. I understand perfectly what you say and can feel your disappointment.
I also understand that I am part of said users that take advantage of sales while trying to respect my monthly budget, cause unfortunately for me 3d is a hobby. If I were to make money with renders, I'd be happy to buy more products even at full price but then again would be because of a commissioned work.
I know it won't count much but Rendo is still the place where i spent most of my money in the last 2 years so i feel i paid a few salaries for some artists i love particularly and supported greatly.
I also am happy to see that some artists don't make a big deal of this site and in my experience it only lead to me spending much more as I got to discover some PA that I never heard of cause of the zone and bought their stuff.
Hope things will improve for you but perhaps think of having your assets also elsewhere.
December 5, 2022 at 7:47 PM #1897872I check the site every morning, but I've still managed to miss a flash sale that was mid-day. I skipped the last sale as earlier this year everytime I bought during a 50% off sale there was always a 60-70% off within a week or so. Maybe I just have crap luck 🤷
