PLEASE DO NOT THINK I'M GLOATING OR THAT I AM TRYING TO PROSELYTIZE...
SERIOUSLY....
...but as a Poser user I honestly do not understand what is the actual problem here?
I made dozends of hybrid meshes for Poser in the last 20+ years, and they usually take me a day or two to make.
1. You export the body and neck of one mesh and the head and neck of the other
2. You actually fuse the top and bottom of both necks in a modelling app or just combine both necks using a transmap, if the mapping of the two figures is too different.
3. You create a new figure using the combined mesh in Poser and adjust the joint centers for the eyes if their position changed because to the new head mesh.
4. The body now takes textures/morphs/poses from figure A, while the head uses textures/expressions from figure B.
5. The complicated expression rigging of G9's face will probably need adjusting or one could perhaps get rid of it altogether and simply use expression morphs instead, like DAZ used in the past.I admit it is normally a bit more involved, but as I said, I can usually do it in a day or two in Poser.
So why is it so complicated in Studio?
Is it the encryption?
Is there no way to transfer the rigging and the bodymorphs from G8 to a G8/G9 figure?
Or to manipulate G9's face armature?
But the expressions can be still exported as simple morphs, can they not?Sorry, I'm not "speaking" Studio, so I'm NOT offering my help.
I really wouldn't know where to start. But this is so easy in Poser (Well, not "I installed Poser yesterday" beginners easy, but still...) that I'm curious what makes it so complicated in Studio?
People do really crazy things with Genesis, much more crazier stuff than it's usually done with Poser figures, so why is a G8/G9 hybrid such a problem?

It's probably more of someone not wanting to take the time to do it. Even more so when a large portion of the community jumped ship for AI. Also ive seen little on G9 that isn't already better on G8. Standards are easier to mass produce. A hybrid would more than likely have less support and not function easily with the generic crap kick out quickly. Not to gloat for daz but I came from poser years ago and poser sux. Its probably just my personal bias but I get better results with daz easier. I get better content here. So much so that even though I can get everything free for poser I rarely download it and almost never use it.
Only good poser content is older than most daz users. Im willing to rethink my statement if you can point me to better content and renders than I see currently see on rendo.
