Did it get nuked? Or are they in the middle of fixing the site?
I keep getting errors trying to load it. Its a shame because I use it for backups to replace dead links with.
It keeps bringing me to a wayback machine snapshot of it.
April 28, 2022 at 11:17 PM #1801451They've been nuked for over a month now, until just now (or at least yesterday) it showed an "account suspended" boilerplate, with a "site under maintenance" message, and another message that the account would be deleted in 5 days... it's been a seriously looooong 5 days, but it looks like it's done now. It's a shame, they were a solid go-to.
April 28, 2022 at 11:21 PM #1801453That sucks, at least we still have Render-state as another alternative. But fuck I hope that doesn't happen to this site. It'll be like the trove all over again for me.
April 28, 2022 at 11:40 PM #1801457That place seems to go down every couple of days, Render-State is the better one. Neither are as good as here though when it comes to asset information. When something is posted to the blog, it usually says 'repost' or 'updated'. I don't know how many times I've downloaded an asset from 3Dload or Render-State thinking that it was a new asset to find out that I already had it.
April 28, 2022 at 11:48 PM #1801460Just be careful with Render-state though, you should absolutely have Malwarebytes if you use it a lot, because its constantly blocking malware threats on that site. Having a vpn is a good idea too.

They may be having a DNS reference problem or just have the site down, or are redoing their WordPress site. It was working less than a week ago. I had some screens open on my Chrome and refreshed them and boom 522 Error popped up.
3D-Load.net seems to have this issue every so often, but remember they steal everything they have from ZoneGFX's blog. I'd be careful around other sites like Render-State and pay to download sites which demand money or fielty as payments to get access to free stuff.
The recommendation for Malwarebytes and others malicious software filters is necessary.
I'll keep checking to see if it comes back up.

I was thinking the same thing, maybe they havn't been nuked and are just taking it down for maintenance since theyve went offline for a few days before.

Yeah, to me its like a double edge sword. On one hand its annoying they're stealing our posts, on another its good to have back ups to replace dead links with.
April 29, 2022 at 1:14 AM #1801483I agree with you, @hamburgler
I actually go there is something here goes down or gets reported and hasn't been fixed, I go there and one of their extra links usually works. Most times GoogleDrive or the other two or three options work, the MEGA links are first to be reported over there.
I usually grab stuff from there and make 2 MEGA accounts to host them, I have a backup that never gets a share link, and the one I share from. If something goes missing, I usually can find it on 3D-Load as an emergency backup. If it actually is gone forever, well, remember there are around 50 other share sites out there who steal from ZoneGFX and repackage and repost on other downloaders, so alot isn't really gone completely. And we can of course: REQUEST an item again.
Cheers,

I hope 3d-load isn't gone - we need more places that aren't hand-in-hand with rip-off download sites like Rapidgater
April 29, 2022 at 8:12 AM #1801530This are his last words.
"Yes unfortunately I have a backup problem, the hosting company scammed me, all of a sudden they don't answer me anymore and the server stopped working, I don't know if it's because of them or because of some malfunction, unfortunately I am currently unable to retrieve recent backups, so now I'll wait a few days and see what happens, at most if it goes wrong I have an old backup and I'll use that, better than nothing..."

Perhaps he didn't pay the hosting bill 🙂
April 29, 2022 at 1:26 PM #1801674it seems to have come back looking really different and the link goes to https://3dru.net/home/ but the login does not work.
April 29, 2022 at 1:34 PM #1801677Bit of a shame... sure, most of what he had was the same stuff that could be had here, but as mentioned - you could get unbundled items, and the site was solid. It was also a great place (like Render-State) to do a bit of searching and grab items that fit a certain type, genre, or similar (the last item I remember searching for was a nice coat...)
They did carry unique bits though, especially back in the earliest portions of their site.
I hope it stays up too. I recently came across two other sites (Progfx.top and 3dmodels.win), but one appears to not ever update (and has a busted search function and categories linkage), while the other updates maybe once a week or so.
Never hurts to have a stable of sites on-hand. Love this place and count it as my top go-to, but to steal a cliché: there is strength in diversity.
(besides, as much as I loved using torrents, I really don't want to return to those days, where you had to guess at the contents by the often misleading title... ugh).

...new host/home? He may be building it up still... give it a day or three. I'm bookmarking it as well.
